BestBuy: Samsung 40” 1080p LCD & 5.1 Home Theatre $1500, Acer E2140 PC w/ 19” LCD $500
If you're looking for some well-priced centerpieces for your home office or home theatre, BestBuy has some interesting offers for you this week.
Both of these offerings represent good values. Samsung, very well regarded for its LCDs, doesn't disappoint with the LNT4061, which has received a plethora very positive user reviews at Amazon.com. With a Samsung 5.1 Surround Sound Home Theatre System included in the $1499.99 price, this is quite an appealing package. As for the Acer Aspire Desktop PC, it's got plenty of performance for the money with its 2GB RAM and value-oriented but very capable Intel E2140 processor. This dual core processor is essentially a slower clocked Conroe processor with less cache. When you factor in the included LCD and the option to upgrade to a more powerful dedicated video card via the PCI-E 16x slot, this is a solid budget computer system with room to grow.

Tech Roundup: Linksys WRT54GL $60, Buffalo 1GB PC2-5300 $18
Time flies when you need to shop for gifts, doesn't it? We're verging on one week until Christmas, so here's a few more attractive buys to make sure you're not caught empty handed this holiday season:
The Linksys WRT54GL router for just $60 is a nice deal. That "L" denotes that the router is officially designed with the ability to be modified with Linux firmware (it also features 16MB RAM and 4 MB ROM compared to the WRT54G's 8/2). To learn more about what you can do with router firmware modifications, you can check out Extremetech's article on the subject. This is a nice pickup for the computer enthusiast, or to make sure that all of your high tech network ready electronics can actually be used to their full potential. If you still haven't jumped on the recent trend of low ram prices, now is as good as time as any with 1GB of Buffalo RAM for less than $20.
