    Amazon.ca Celebrates Valentine’s Day (Starting at $8)
Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?

Like all smart men, Romeo is in Amazon.ca's alluring Valentine's Day section, looking for the right gift for his beloved. And frankly, you should probably be in their Valentine's section, too. Here's what they have:
    • "Closer" by adorable (non-Canadian) Josh Groban for a mere $10.
    • The astonishing Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert is just $9. This isn't a romantic book, but it is an incredibly worthwhile read. We'll be honest: we waited in the library queue for six months to read this book. Uh, as it turns out, we should have spent $9 to buy it because it was incredible and now we want to read it again and again.
    • For those who are feeling perhaps not quite so romantic, there is the deliciously dark How Not To Date by Judy McGuire ($13) which is CHOCK FULL of terrible date stories. If you're alone on Valentine's Day, this book and a glass or two of wine will make you so, so, happy you're not on a first date somewhere.

    Last Minute Shopping Salvation
We're coming down to the wire folks. Sure, the stores are still buzzing, but if you want to avoid the crowds, weather, and headaches, make the most of shopping online. At regular shipping rates, many online retailers can no longer guarantee that items will be delivered by December 24, 2007, but you can still squeeze in under the gun at a few online retailers, namely:
    • BestBuy.ca, which has shipping deadlines of December 20 for Toronto and Montreal, and December 17 for Vancouver.
    • FutureShop.ca, which also has shipping deadlines of December 20 for Toronto and Montreal, and December 17 for Vancouver.
    • HomeDepot.ca, which has shipping deadlines of December 19 for Toronto and Montreal, and December 17 for Vancouver
Of course, you still have options if you are willing to pay for faster shipping, but even then, you'd better hurry! Learn more about shipping deadlines in our article on the subject, which is also handy as it links to popular retailer's shipping information pages. If you're well and truly out of ideas or time, you might consider online gift cards that can be shipped via email. Options here include:

    Amazon.ca Book Pricematch Guarantee
Amazon.ca is taking an aggressive stance on book pricing. If you find another Canadian site that offers a lower online price within two weeks after the date you place your order on Amazon.ca, let them know and they will credit your original payment method for the difference. There is some fine print of course, such as this offer only extending to online retailers and a requirement that the item is currently available in the same binding and edition. Find out more about this helpful policy and the rest of the restrictions over here.
