Rogers Customer Appreciation Event - Choice of Free Gift like Movie Rental or Magazine Subscription

Forum user D-Roc points out that Rogers is holding its second annual Customer Appreciation Event. Rogers customers (you have to be an existing customer as of November 1, 2008) can visit the linked website and select a free gift. Here's what you can choose from:
    • a new release movie or game rental from Rogers Video or Rogers Plus (not available in Quebec)
    • a free 3-month subscription to a Rogers Publishing magazine
    • a personalized TEGO skin for your Wireless Phone or MP3 player
    • the option to donate your gift to the United Way / Centraide
It looks like a nice little bonus for Rogers customers, and option to donate to the United Way / Centraide is commendable.

Free Sample of O.B. “Mighty Small” Case & Tampons

If you head over to MightySmall.com, you can request a free sample of O.B. tampons in their neat "Mighty Small" case. It appears the design you receive is chosen at random, but they all look pretty cute! The fine print states that the offer is good while quantities last, and that there is a limit of one trial pack per person and a maximum of 3 per Canadian household address.

Wal-Mart: Purchase a Box of Pampers and a 5+ Refill Box of Wipes and Get a $15 Gift Card

UPDATE: August 3, 5:47PM - They've renewed the offer and now it expires on December 15th. The rest of the details are the same.
Here's a good deal from Pampers and Wal-Mart: buy any Pamper Diaper Box and a Pampers Wipes Refill (they come in packages of 5, 6, or 7 packs), then submit your receipts (PDF) and receive a $15 Wal-Mart gift card by mail. If you're buying diapers and wipes anyway, you might as well stock up -- and get a gift card out of the deal!

The offer expires July 31, 2008.

Freebie: National Do Not Call List

If you're getting a lot of unsolicited telemarketer calls (and who isn't?), you'll want to sign up on Canada's National Do Not Call registry. This registry is open for residential, wireless, VoIP numbers and faxes.

Unfortunately, the list does not prevent calls from political parties, registered charities, and business with whom you have an existing business relationship. Still, it's free and easy -- and it will cut down on a lot of unwanted calls.

2009 Pontiac G3 Wave is $9,995 (Cash Only)

September 10 Update: Today's Metro informs us that the Pontiac G3 Wave is down to $9,995 (cash only).
The new Pontiac G3 Wave is available in a cash-only offer for just $10,470. That's a lot of car for a nice price! It's not short on features either -- there's room to seat 5 six-foot passengers, or if you've got gear to stow, there's a 60/40 split flip-and-fold rear seat. What's under the hood? A 1.6L DOHC four-cylinder engine with "variable valve timing which contributes to a fuel economy improvement of up to 10%, while also providing better acceleration" and reduced emissions.

The $10,470 price is available across Canada but only if you're paying cash. Find your nearest Dealer/Retailer here.
