Leasebusters.com: Take Over A Car Lease or Get Out of An Existing One
LeaseBusters.com is a service that allows you to take over a car lease or to get rid of one. A lease take over means someone assumes the balance of an existing vehicle lease belonging to the original customer. In most cases, the original lease package is a new vehicle lease executed by the original customer and the lease-take-over transaction transfers all the original terms, conditions and parameters of the original lease to the replacement customer. With Lease Busters to facilitate the process, you can avoid hefty early lease terminations expenses. Many available lease-take-overs from Leasebusters.com will even give you a lease payment or payments in cash as an added incentive. The fact that you can take over a lease without paying upfront fees for a new lease, and the possibility of cash incentives makes for potential good deals.
If instead of looking to take over a lease you are looking to get out of one, Leasebusters.com offers services for that as well. Visit Leasebusters.com to find out more.

Amazon.com Now Ships Computers, Electronics, Tools, Kitchen Items and More to Canada!
Good news for all the online shoppers out there, Amazon.com now ships a large selection of their Apparel, Automotive, Computers, Electronics, Home, Personal Care, Kitchen, Outdoor Living, Tools, Video Games and a few other categories to Canada through Amazon Global! Books, Music, and DVDs have always been deliverable to Canada, but the new product categories opens up a huge product selection. A quick look inside the electronics category indicated that over 10,000 items are shippable to Canada, while inside of the Watches category, there are over 19,000 products.
Shipping charges range between $4.99 US and $7.99 US per shipment, plus an additional $1.99 US to $3.99 US per item. An import fees or duties that may apply will be visible during the checkout. The full Canadian shipping details can be found here. Amazon.com's prices are quite competitive to begin with, so even with the shipping and import costs, deals are bound to turn up for Canadians. The strong Canadian certainly helps, too.
You can see the entire Canada-shippable product selection from the first link, but you can also identify whether or not a given item ships internationally by looking in the "Product details" section. Under shipping it will say "This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S" or "Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S".
A big thanks goes to Al Kaseltzer for spotting and sharing this!

If you're shopping for a new car, Toyota Canada has stepped in with a 0% financing offer for 2009 Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Yaris and Yaris Hatchbacks. 0% financing is quite unheard of for Toyota (although a similar offers was available in the US in October).
As always, check out the fine print: Limited time purchase financing offer provided through Toyota Financial Services on approved credit on new retail sales of 2009 Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Yaris Hatchback and Yaris . Representative finance example based upon $25,000 financed at 0% APR equals $694.44 per month for 36 months. $0 down payment or equivalent trade-in may be required. Cost of borrowing is $0, for a total obligation of $25,000. Taxes, freight and PDI of $1220 - $1440 varies by model, license, insurance, registration and applicable fees are extra. Dealer may sell for less. Offer subject to change without notice. See your participating Toyota dealer or visit www.toyota.ca for details.
Other than that, there's not too much information online, so you'll need to contact a dealer for more.

FutureShop.ca Introduces Free Shipping On Orders over $39
There's some good news this morning from FutureShop.ca! They've introduced free shipping on (most) purchases over $39. There are a couple of restrictions to be aware of: gift card purchases don't count toward the order total of $39 or more, and TVs of 40" or larger and large appliances don't qualify.
The restrictions are pretty reasonable, and for everything else, this makes shopping online at FutureShop.ca much more appealing. The free shipping should be great for items like video games and DVDs/Blu-rays!
A good place to start is this $10 off $50 coupon, which is good until July 5.

Ford Promos: $1000 off Select Models for Costco Members & Retire an Old Car for up to $3000 Credit
Ford is making a strong push to attract new car buyers. At the moment, we've spotted two promotions that could end up knocking a big chunk off the price of a new Ford automobile.
First up, Ford has a Recycle Your Ride program. Ford is working with the Clean Air Foundation and the government run Retire Your Ride program. If you turn in a working 1995 model year or older vehicle to the government Retire Your Ride Program and provide proof to a Ford dealer, you can be eligible for a credit of up to $3000 (you also qualify if you've already made use of the Retire your ride program). You can choose to take a cheque directly, or have the credit applied toward a new purchase of lease. Full details and instructions can be found here.
Second, Ford is offering people with a valid Costco membership a $1000 discount on select models -- the Fusion, Flex, Escape, and Edge (the Escape Hybrid and Fusion Hybrid also qualify). You'll need to bring the printable coupon (linked on the page), and your Costco membership card with you to a dealer. The fine print on the coupon also states that the offer is transferable to immediate family members living within the same household as the eligible Costco member.
We don't see anything in the literature that makes these offers mutually exclusive, so you're looking at the prospect of some significant savings if you can combine the two. In fact, the Costco coupon specifically states that it's "Available in addition to other offers."
If you're fast, you could also make it in time for the end of the Ford Employee Pricing promotion which was supposed to end on August 31st but has been held over to September 8th.
