Free Admission to Toronto’s Historical Sites on December 5-6
December 5-6, Toronto's Historic Sites are offering free admission! The events being offered at the historical sites are generally Christmas themed. They include:
- Victorian Christmas at Colborne Lodge (open from 12-4 PM on Saturday and Sunday)
- Fort York National Historic Site (open from 10 AM-5 PM on Saturday and Sunday)
- Getting Ready for the Holidays at Gibson House Museum (open from 12-5 PM on Saturday and Sunday)

Park Royal Mall: Free Santa Photo and More on Monday & Tuesday Nights Starting December 7 (GVRD)
Santa isn't the only one with a gift for you this holiday season, Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver has a special treat for shoppers who visit the mall on Monday or Tuesday nights. (You can view the details by scrolling down to "A Gift For Shoppers", about half-way down the page.)
Starting December 7, each person who comes to Park Royal on a Monday or Tuesday night will get:

West Coast Express Santa Train - Ride For Free With Toy Donation, Dec 5 & 12 (GVRD)
All aboard! It's time for the West Coast Express' annual Santa Train. Passengers ride for free from Mission City to Vancouver's Waterfront Station with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy to the Toy Bureau. This year's Santa Trains will be comin' to town on December 5 and 12.
Join Santa and Mrs. Claus on this festive trip for the whole family. Just bring a new, unwrapped toy to exchange for your return ticket, and then get on board the Santa Train at your home station. Spend the day shopping in Vancouver, then return to Waterfront Station for your journey home at 5 PM.
Here's this year's departure schedule:
- Mission City - 10:00 AM
- Port Haney - 10:17 AM
- Maple Meadows - 10:23 AM
- Pitt Meadows - 10:27 AM
- Port Coquitlam - 10:37 AM
- Coquitlam Central - 10:43 AM
- Port Moody - 10:48 AM
- Arrives at Waterfront - 11:15 AM, return trip at 5 PM
