Dell.ca: New 13.3” Inspiron 13 Laptop Launched (Starting From $699)

Today marks Dell's launch of a new Inspiron laptop. It's a 13" laptop, that, surprisingly enough, is called the Inspiron 13. The introductory pricing starts from $699, but we think the $799 configuration with a Core 2 Duo T5750 processor upgrade for a final price of $859 offers the most value.

The Inspiron 13 takes some design cues from the XPS and Studio laptop lines and includes a slot loading optical drive and rounded hinge design. NotebookReview.com praises the Inspiron 13 for attractive design, build quality, good battery life, a solid keyboard, and a great price. It's not a premium notebook computer, but it's a 13.3" model that looks like it strikes a good balance between price, build quality, and features.

    $0.49 8x10 Digital Prints at PhotoLab.ca!

The summer is winding down and our guess is you probably have a few pictures you'd like to get printed from summer vacations, weddings, or days at the cottage (perhaps even the recent RedFlagDeals.com BBQ...). PhotoLab.ca has a special on 8x10 enlargements for only $0.49 each!

Regularly $2.99, this is 80% off and an amazing price for such a large print. PhotoLab.ca is the Loblaw companies digital photo print division which means you can pick these prints up Loblaws, Superstore, Fortinos, Extra Foods and more - check the website for the locations nearest you. Thanks goes to Kfox for spotting the deal!

    $17.50 Fido Plan w/Unlimited Weekends+Evenings (5PM), Unlimited Incoming Text, 200 Weekday Minutes

Update: The offer is now viewable at Fido.ca
Fido has launched a very good introductory plan on a 3 year agreement. The offer doesn't currently appear to be on Fido.ca, but you can see the offer in today's Metro (page 25 of the Toronto edition). The plan, for $17.50 a month on a 3 year contract, includes:
    • Unlimited weekends and evenings from 5PM
    • Unlimited incoming text messages
    • 200 weekday minutes
    • Per-second Billing
As is quite standard with phone plans, the $17.50 does not include a $6.95 monthly system access fee or the 50 cent 911 emergency access fee. Considering that it is a publicly available plan, $17.50 for unlimited weekends from after 5PM and per-second billing is very good. This offer is good until October 31, 2008 in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatechewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia.
