Free Sunday Guided Walking Tours @ High Park (GTA)
October 22 Update: With autumn in full swing, now is a great time to take advantage of free guided walking tours of High Park. Upcoming dates include October 26 and November 9.

One fun and invigorating way to get started is some good, old fashioned hiking. By sheer coincidence, you can take part in some scheduled, free guided hikes in High Park. These hikes are moderately paced, naturalist led hikes that are held monthly on the second and fourth Sunday morning throughout the year. Tours lasts 1.5 hours. This sounds like a great way to get out there for some fresh air and exercise. For a full list of scheduled hikes, each with different subjects (such as a hike that focuses on edible plants, and changing colours photography hike in the Fall), visit HighPark.org and navigate to the "Walking Tours" button in the middle of the page.
You can also call 416-392-1748 ext. 5 for more information. These walks are free and organized by the High Park Nature Centre, the High Park Community Advisory Council, High Park Initiatives and Colborne Lodge, but donations are welcome. Thanks to sprung for pointing out this freebie.
