Telus is offering people in the Greater Toronto Area a new phone plan.  With the TELUS to TELUS 20 plan you get up to 100 anytime minutes, 1000 evening & weekend minutes, and unlimited mobile to mobile calling between TELUS subscribers for $20 a month (plus the usual other fees).  Sign a 2 year contract and they’ll give you 3 months of unlimited local calling and a free phone (a Kyocera KE424C or a Samsung A540 if you sign for 3 years).  Not bad for $20/m. Perhaps even better, you can get the same deal on their Mike system that includes Caller ID. You dont’ get a free phone on Mike though.
