Dell.ca Deal Details

This deal requires a 3 year contract with Telus in my area of BC.

title of this deal might be a bit misleading, I think the xbox is given only for 3 year sign up, at least that is what I was offered.

Bell is offering the Xbox for a one year contract with the $49.95/m package.

Rogers is offering the XBox 360 for a one-year Rogers Hi-Speed ($45/month, but first three months are free!!!!) contract.  Too bad I already have Rogers :(

In the big print, step 2 says “Select, choose your XBOX 360 High-Speed Internet service offer from Bell or Telus”.

It says also in the fine print “Promotional offer available until December 31, 2007 to residents of select Provinces with select new high speed Internet activations under contract with Bell Sympatico or TELUS”.

It does not look like you will get the 360 if you sign up for Rogers.

A little confusing with the actual charge - looks like they could charge you $82.90/month according to the details.

If the Xbox offer is available in your area you’ll see it on the list. Otherwise, they have other offers, but you don’t get the free Xbox as far as I can tell.

I signed up for this but it gave me Shaw as my IP only. Am I not eligible for the 360?

Has anyone received any confirmation on this deal. It is very vague and no one has successfully confirmed for a 360 so far. I guess this is just a crock of $*it

I ordered it.  It seems that it works for Bell in Toronto at the very least.  My Xbox is supposed to arrive next week.

my area code gives me the rogers $47.95 a month deal with no term commitment and the first three months free.  i live in mississauga.

I messaged a dell representative that stated the offer is only good for telus and bell customers.

Great! Now all I have to do is sign up for a phone line with bell!

ya you have to have a landline with one or the other.

I called Dell twice. so I get people in India that speak little English over a bad line… Good thing I do not want a computer… I keep getting a sign up for Rogers, I want Bell..
Bell has a Xbox 360 special (3year) but 120g and Halo 3...........  Has anyone got a number to order in Canada, that is English.

i called rogers today and as far as i know the ROGERS deal is.... $200 of any console wii/360/ps3 when you a sign a contract (im not sure how many years, i believe 1 yr).

and the rogers rep said this is through the rogersvideo retailers....so you have to go to the stores.... maybe if you go in they’ll match bell’s offer, i dont know, havent gone in yet. I sure hope they do!

Cons:  60 Gig download/upload limits, no newsgroup offer (drop this service years ago).  Bit slower than cable.  I like Cogeco speed and newserver but they keep jacking up the price and I can’t do anything about it.  :-( Perhaps it is time to try something different.

For 1 yr contract get xbox premium is pretty good deal. Bell offers $65 get xbox elite,halo3, xbox live 12mth on 3 yr contract

I just ordered it and I got my confirmation code that I will recieve it in 7-10 business days.  I will be recieving my internet on the 28th.  I love this deal.  Bell is the best at giving stuff away for free when u sign up one year contracts.  Last time I had my mom sign up this was about 5-6 years ago and i got first 4 months for free and a free webcam on a one year contract.

I talked to a Dell rep and ordered the deal over the phone. He said the xbox comes with 1 game and 1 wireless controller - but he did not specify the game. The phone number and extension I called was referenced in the forums.

I believe the game is Farzo 2 Motosport.  I think that the game somewhat resembles Grand Trismo from the PS line up of games.  I have been out of the gaming scene since 1998 since i last played sega genesis.

If you order from the Dell you get a XBoc 360 with a 20 G hard drive and a 1 year contract
( the one year contract for Bell Sympatico is through Dell) (there is no Roger deal)
copy and print all screens that say your order number and one year contract, this is your only hope if. Bell will let you combine your bill and get $15 off if you have 3 services (but do this after your first bill)

I called Dell non-stop for like on hour and no one could give me a tracking number or any other info other then that 7-10 days delivery slot.  I called Bell yesterday and they said I should have my internet activation date has been set for November 29th, 2007.  Does this mean that I will recieve my modem and Xbox 360 before that?

It seems Nov 29 is the magic day.  I was told I would receive my modem on or before Nov 29 (and then I would have 5 days to activate my Internet). The Xbox is supposed to arrive in 7-10 bus days which will be shortly after the 29th for me.

I will be working from home on Wednesday and Thursday eagerly awaiting the arrival of my xobx 360.

my activation date is on the 26th, and seeing that today is the 23rd which is the 7th day after i signed up, i guess ill be getting it on that day.  So to answer your question, im guessing you get the modem and 360 on the 29th your activation date.

Keep us posted as to when you receive your modem and xbox.  I am so jealous that you get to start playing before I do.  I am going to be hopefully playing on Thursday or Friday. 

BTW can you message me with the customer service rep. at dell that gave you confirmation that you will be receiving your order and so forth?

I was initially offered by the rogers and contacted one of the representative from bell. I told him that I wouldn’t be intersted if it is not xbox360 they are giving..
He didn’t know what he was talking about… certainly.
and few days I’ve contacted dell directly and talked to this girl name jesicca.
She worked out everything for me.
I’ll be getting my xbox360 early nextweek!

I gave jessica a call today.  she was really helpfull.  She told me that if I didn’t get the modem by tomorrow night that I should contact her on wednesday.  And if I didn’t get the xbox by Tuesday that I should contact her.  But she told me that since I live in toronto that i should recieve it with in 7 business days.

I believe the XBOX 360 Pro comes with a 20GB hard drive, hdmi cable and output, one wireless controller and farzo 2 the game.

I already bought an extra controller, NHL 08, NBA Live 08, Madden 08.  Need to buy about two more controllers and I will be having sports weekends at my place all the time.

Hi that’s sort of what she told me is that they are all in the toronto office.  I was thinking that if they are in the toronto office they are probably waiting to for us activate then ship it on the following monday.  When I spoke to her it sounded like Dell hasn’t got their act together for this promotion.  This is quite wierd.  In the past when i have done these kind of promotions they usually we send me to confirmation numbers right away.

So I am hoping to have my XBOX on Tuesday or wednesday next week now.  That really blows cause I was hoping to be playing this weekend. 

I want my XBOX and I want it NOW.

I recieved and activated my modem on Monday.  The 360 was shipped from Dell Mississauga.

Well the csr i spoke to said mine would be shipping on monday.  so i got my fingers crossed.

Can anyone confirm that the xbox is brand new or a refurb?

i haven’t opened mine, but i doubt they are refurbs, the hdmi unit came out around the same time the elite version with the 120g harddrive came out, so hopefully aren’t, i would like to know aswell cause im gonna be selling mine.

when you opened it were all the part packaged? i believe the packaging is green and orange plastic.
