Just curious, does anyone know what kind of savings we’ll see? I don’t normally eat at these places, so i’m wondering if these are huge deals (like 50% off).
For instance, the $15 lunch, how much would that normally be?

Yes, I noticed that the dinners cost $45 now when they used to cost $35. I can’t believe this price increase during the recession now. I don’t think as many people would end up going because of this price increase.
About deals, I’ve only been to Winter/Summer-licious once and never have been back. Personally, I don’t find these a deal at all. Mostly they serve you basic/simple dishes and never the restaurants’ signature dishes.
Moreover, I have a hunch that the Winter/Summer-licious time is the time when all the big chefs go on vacations, leaving the apprentices in-training and repeating the same small menu everyday.
Hence, I never go anymore.

I also noticed the price increases. I think it’s absolutely pathetic that they are doing this now in light of everything else going on with the economy.
Every single time I go to Winter/Summerlicious I end up spending more on wine/drinks than on the actual meal. Extra $10 and I will just go somewhere else and not be limited by the Prix Fixe menu.
Good job f*cking up a perfectly good program.
To the poster who said the big chefs on vacation, I couldn’t tell you, but, the food quality has been on par or better than the regular menu. Reason being that it’s their chance to get repeat biz.

This will see out and most of the “good” places are not taking anymore weekend bookings. An extra $10 isnt a huge deal

It’s different for every restaurant, please look at those participating. Some dinners are only $25 and these are AMAZING restaurants.
