It’s gotta be a 6-bit TN panel at that price, for sure! I’ll stick with my Dell 30” S-IPS. smile

cant trust tiger’s web inventory system. Esp when inventory is low, you are never sure you will get one.

I suppose you can always call before you buy.

Mine arrived on Sept 12th. Showed up with 1 dead pixel near the bottom centre of the screen. Nothing you can really do about it now. But for $399 plus tax and shipping you can’t really complain. I’m still very impressed with the value. Very vibrant display!

cobaltspider

why can’t you do anything about it?
its under warranty and its also a 30 day product guarentee from tiger direct.
return it and get a new one!

dsak

okay.. ill try that. I thoght there was some sort of pixel policy for LCD’s. I’ll keep you posted on the return.

cobaltspider

no dead pixels and one of my sweetest deals yet!

Sounds to good to be true and the dearth of online reviews has me concerned to say the least.
I have been burned twice by tigers LCD Deals, both times the monitor up and dies in some spectacular way at the end of the warranty period. Last one was one of those DCLCDs and the backlight went (irreperable since everything is integrated in one module). Of course there was an abundance of reviews on how crappy those were “after” the so called great deal >.<
Thanks but no thanks - Tiger can be trusted not to be trusted.
