TheSource.ca: Sony NV-U44 3.5” GPS with Text-to-Speech $129.99
If you missed out on yesterdays $149.99 Garmin Nuvi 255w in the Dell Days of Deals event, we've come across a possible alternative. TheSource.ca has the Sony NV-U44 Portable GPS for $129.99. It doesn't feature a lot of bells and whistles, but it does have text-to-speech and a "dual view" feature that includes lane guidance. At the $129.99 price point, a basic navigator with text-to-speech is pretty reasonable.
You can check CNET.com's review for more. Here's their summary: "The Sony NV-U44 is a solidly performing entry-level GPS navigator. The few features that it has are very focused on basic, no-frills navigation. That being said, the NV-U44 offers good performance, on par with its two most obvious rivals, the Garmin Nuvi 255W and the TomTom One 130S."
