Textbook Buying Tips for Students
As much as it may hurt your sun and vacation addled brain to think about, the start of a new school year looms! That means it's time to start thinking about how you can save some money for the cold, educational months ahead. We're here to make things easier for you though. Check the left sidebar for the Back To School tab. Currently, you'll find some early back to school deals, coupons, and a contest to win a MacBook or an iMac. We'll be adding even more deals, contests, articles, and tips throughout August, so keep an eye out. To kick things off, here are some handy tips on how to save money on textbooks:
- Borrow textbooks you need from your friends or the library. This might be difficult around exams, so plan ahead.
- If you need to buy a book, try to find used textbooks through used bookstores, campus bulletin boards, and online forums like the Textbook Buy, Trade, and Sell Forum here at RedFlagDeals.com.
- If you must buy new, shop around. Check online stores and look for money-saving coupons.
- Sell your old textbooks for cash. Again, a great place to start is the our very own Textbook Buy, Trade, and Sell Forum.
- Choose your courses and find out about required texts sooner rather than later. Knowing what books you will need will give you more time to shop around and find deals.
