Starbucks: Save $0.10 By Bringing Your Own Cup

This isn't exactly a new promotion, but it certainly bears repeating. If you bring in your own cup for use in Starbucks coffee shops instead of using one of their paper cups, you will be given a discount of $0.10 for your beverage each and every time. On top of a little bit of ecological conservation, you'll save money, and you can use a nice insulated mug to keep your coffee hotter for longer! This might not be everyone's cup of tea (or coffee), but for folks who frequent Starbucks, this is a nice little money saver.

This also applies to Second Cup as well.

Does this work if you show up with a Glass mug from your kitchen?

They shouldn’t have any problems with any old mug from home.

That’s hilarious, I always thought the people that buy expensive coffee want to flaunt the cup/brand!

A measly ten cents off a $4 cup of bean water, milk and sugar? No thanks, I brew my own at home and save about $1000 a year.

I’m glad retailers are starting to do this.  Give a small incentive to reduce waste.  Stores should do something like this with plastic bags.

Tim Hortons do have refill(10 cents off) policy across the country too. Yes, any mug will do.

10 cents! I think I’ll drive down to Starbucks right now and get a cup.  Think of all the money I’ll save.

Starbucks gives 10cents off with your cup and Tim Hortons gives 5 cents with your cup and yes I am glad they advertise because I don’t like all the garbage.  I have to pay for garbage.

Before you order ask for a refill and they will give you the discount.  You have to know the prices of coffee.  Tim Hortons, Starbucks.  Starbuck’s coffee varies from city to city, town to town.
