RFD Exclusive: e-Shipper Discount Shipping - Updated Nov 14

E-Shipper has launched an updated shipping engine with a much improved user design and several new features. e-Shipper.com is a Canadian provider of shipping services that include Courier, Air Freight, Trucking, and Emergency Rush Shipments. When you sign up with e-Shipper.com you can save up to 60%. Some of their features include:

    • Shipping to domestic and international destinations with Purolator, FedEx, DHL and Canada Worldwide
    • Free online rate quotes and demo
    • Reverse pickups from the USA to Canada
    • Online warehousing/inventory module available

As an RFD Exclusive, the $19.95 setup fee will be waived for RedFlagDeals readers.

Here’a quick example of a couple quotes we got from their online rate calculator:

A 2 lb. Pak shipped from Toronto to California (USA) Overnight:

    • UPS is $54.06
    • DHL is $52.41
    • E-shipper is $24.44

A 1 lb. package shipped from Toronto to Montreal Overnight:

    • UPS is $22.37
    • DHL is $18.62
    • E-shipper is $6.69

Shipping costs add up quickly, especially for online retailers, so this is a great service to help small businesses save a few bucks. We’ve been using e-Shipper at RFD for well over 6 months now and both service and pricing have been fantastic.

Can this be used as regular airmail parcels through Canada Post?  Or is this mainly for 1-day shipping? =/

You can use it for standard purolator shipping but they don’t have Canada Post as an option. But yeah, you can use it for basically any type of shipping.

I checked a few addresses and I am not sure it is cheaper than Xpresspost from Canadapost that offers 1 to 2 day service anywhere in Canada with tracking and signature.  Seems about the same.

Derek

Can you check and make sure for us? I’d like to get confirmation from users that it’s cheaper of course.

I just shipped a package on Monday from Toronto to Montreal by Purolator ground. It was an eMachines computer, about 15 pounds and it was only $15 and they come to your door to pick it up.

obviously some quotes will be more, some will be less. in my experience w/them, shipping through fedex and ups was cheaper than going directly to the source. don’t use purolator much so i can’t say. as far as xpresspost is concerned, if you’re using the prepaids then it’s not gonna get any cheaper. as for regular parcels through xpresspost, you are gonna pay a premium. you’d be better off w/fedex.

1. Depends on where you are planning to ship to, different courier companies such as FedEx, UPS, Purolator, DHL or any others could provide different value

2. Depends on number of pieces for your shipment, depends on weight and size of your box, depends on the service level you require, you should use different courier services.

3. In some cases, Purolator is cheaper than Canada Post, other cases, UPS could be cheaper the Purolator, FedEx could be cheaper than DHL, you can’t win it all.
