I’ve been using Opera Mini for a long time and rfd renders really well in it. I look forward to trying the new mobile site to see how it differs.

Funny - on the 14th I was out and wanted to check a posting I had seen on RFD, and gave the m.redflagdeals.com url a try… and it worked. I didn’t know I was getting an unofficial sneak preview!

Nice, but it’d be even better with Forum access! Lots of good deals listed there to!

Is it just me, or does it look like this mobile version is geared towards iPhone owners?
Well it works almost as well and cleanly on my Pearl.
THANK YOU RFD!! :D

Very cool guys. Only thing that would be even better would be to quickly choose the last page of the comments, rather than having to choose ‘next’ 100 times for year-long threads (eg/ buying cars in the US).

We’ve made some small revisions, including a last page button.

SWEEEET, now I can be even faster when on the road and quickly checking for any current/past deals before I buy anything, even includes search feature which would never work on the iphone Safari
THANK YOU

There is an app in the apple iphone store as well… saves a page in your Safari.

who needs a mobile phone?
It’s a great way to access RFD info without all the useless borders and fancy graphics.

App is exactly the same as the mobile version. No difference whatsoever.
What the mobile version really lacks is the ability to to select an option to automatically jump to the bottom of the page AND going to a specific page number. If the thread is very short then it’s ok.

while lightweight mobile sites are a good idea, it’s really annoying when a web site is designed for just one browser, even if it is dominant.

just tried it for a bit and a lot of work is left before I can use the mobile app as a sub for using the real site.
Did you guys just wrap the mobile webpage in its own app? Lazy! Take cues from the facebook app or other good apps.

We’re adding new stuff as we go. The latest version of the app has a deal submission option so you can take a picture of say a 50% off sign at a clothing store and submit it to us if you’re using it on the iPhone of course.
Aside from the app, m.redflagdeals.com should work with any smartphone browser that can display 320 pixels across, which most of them are able to.

A photo submission option?? Now, that makes me want to re-download the app...not. lol.
