    Planet Earth Blu-Ray $29.99 US, DVD $24.99 @ DiscoveryChannelStore.com (US)

Right now (and today only), you can pick up Planet Earth on Blu-Ray for $34.99 and the DVD version for $24.99 US at the DiscoveryChannelStore.com (you buy the Blu-ray version from the DVD version product page).

If you sign up with an email address to receive special offers (on the top left) and you will receive a coupon code good (EML2008) for $5 off orders of $25 or more. You can then bring the price of the Blu-Ray version down to $29.99 US. Alternatively, if you spend over $50 before shipping, you will receive a $10 discount automatically. However, this discount cannot be combined with the $5 off code.

This is the Discovery Channel version narrated by Sigourney Weaver. Some may prefer the original BBC narration done by Attenborough, but this is still a good price for this critically acclaimed documentary. Shipping costs are a little bit steep -- about $10 to Toronto, but they aren't steep enough to taint the deal!

The title is misleading - the blue ray version is actually $34 or something.

mit006

narrated by Sigourney Weaver
should be in BOLD and HUGE print. if you read any reviews… it’s painful, her commentary. I remember a reviewer saying that he threw the rest of the box at his TV it was that bad.
get the Attenborough version if you can. You’ll thank yourself… and so will your TV.

Can’t agree with mit006 enough about the narrator.

Having seen both, I can tell you to definitely avoid the one narrated by Sigourney Weaver and try to get the UK version narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
