Option Rich 2008 Chevrolet Uplander $17,398

Hot on the heals of a price drop on the Pontiac Montana SV6, GM has also announced a large price reduction on the 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. For $17,398 (cash purchase price), you will get a 2008 model with the following options:
    • 3.9L 240hp SFI VWT V6 Engine
    • Automatic Transmission
    • Full Function Traction Control
    • Air Conditioning
    • Stabilitrak Electronic Stability Control System
    • OnStar with 1-Year Safe and Sound Plan
    • 4-Wheel Disc Brakes with ABS
    • Remote Keyless Entry System
    • Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors
    • 5-year/160,000 km GM Powertrain Warranty with $0 Deductible
Feature wise, it is very similar to the Pontiac Montana. However, there is no mention of tinted windows and an iPod dock and perhaps as a result, the Uplander costs about $600 less. This offer can been seen on page A9 of the June 19 edition of the Toronto Star. Chevrolet.GM.ca doesn't seem to list this specific offer just yet. For more information, you can drop by a local Chevrolet dealer or call 1-800-GM-Drive.

Pretty much the same as the Montana deal. I have seen them advertised as low as $16,888. Great price for a very decent family vehicle!

600 bucks off? that’s awesome, that’s almost enough to fill your gas tank for a week.

Good price for a unit with all of the power basics . . . I personally prefer the styling/finishing on the Pontiac version.

Ya, we went with the Motana. A little nicer looking IMO.

GM? Aren’t they bankrupt yet?

As I commented on the other thread, if someone takes advantage of this deal I would love to hear about it, like if you were able to negotiate even lower as one comment suggested, and also whether you could weasel out of freight and admin charges.

5 year warranty isn’t much good if the company isn’t around to honor it smile
