Yes, but it’s OOS now. 9600GT for $70 ($30 MIR) is still a good deal though.

No PST, but you WILL pay HST if your province has it… which is really just the same thing.  It bugs me when these posts leave that out.

The pricing is always very good at NCIX.com.  The problem is actually being able to take advantage of it.  Every time there is a deal posted and I go to the site either it is listed for more money then (as the 1TB drive is now listed at $10 higher), it is currently sold out or it is out of stock/no longer available.  I think I would rather deal with the local Infonec, Canada Computers or even the PC Village as they stock what they say the have on sale.  NCIX.com is resembling the far too often bait and switch tactics of TigerDirect.ca and I stopped shopping at the latter for that very reason.  Anyone have similar experiences here?

I would beg to differ. NCIX is a pretty good company IMO. The thing is, these surprise specials are listed as being limited in quantity. Early bird gets the worm essentially. If you’re late to the party, that’s not their fault. In my experience, if you check on the sale around 10pm on Wednesdays, you’re almost always guaranteed one of the surprise special items if you want it unless they’re in extremely limited quantities. If you wait until the next day or a few days later, you may not be so lucky.

We will have to agree to disagree then as it is a matter of perspective I think.  If I am shopping a Boxing Day sale, I fully expect that if I am not in the top 30 people to NOT have a shot at the 20 TVs on sale that morning.  In the middle of the year, I simply don’t see the reasoning behind that type of practice.  I would rather pay $20 more for the convenience of being able to enter my local shop and speak to somebody if I have questions, concerns or returns.  Price is not the end all and be all factor in my purchases is what I am saying.  Anyhow, I will take you at your word that NCIX.com is a good company.  If they ever choose to make their specials available longer than a few hours at a time, I might even decide to take the chance to find that out for myself.  Until then, I will have to choose to shop where the sale at least lasts the entire day (i.e. Dell, Infonec, etc.).  Thanks.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Price as well as service play big parts in a purchase. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the limited quantities either but, prices are quite good and I usually get in on the deals if there’s something I want so I can’t complain. smile
