Oh, it’s looks like they’ve updated the info page at Harvey’s. You’re right, it’s ON and QC only.

This is a GREAT deal for us unhealthy folks!

The coupon states “buy ANY menu item, get a free Angus burger”... So you can order “BACON” or “CHEESE” ($0.60 for either one), and you’ll get a free burger! I’ve tried it a few times and they’re fine with it!  They ran out of Angus once and will just replace it w/ a regular burger…

They don’t offer this in Canada’s biggest city,. TORONTO.  I went to 3 different places in Toronto and they have signs up saying “They are not participtaing in these offers” So I finally called the company and they said that they don’t have they means to handle the crowds.  So if you live in the city of Toronto - Downtown or close to downtown - FORGET IT!  What a bummer man.

You might be confusing this promotion with the free Angus burger promotion, chead.

No I’m not.  Neither the Angus burger or the Free original burger is going to be offerred in Toronto.  I checked.  If you know otherwise please advise.  P.S.  This is in the city of Toronto - downtown.

As stated in the post, the Free Original Burger Promotion on May 25 is valid at all Harvey’s locations in Ontario and Quebec including the ones in downtown Toronto. This has been confirmed with Harvey’s HQ.

hmmmm! .  That’s not what they told me and they also stated the same thing for the free angus burger.  I will call again.  Thx

Where on the website do you actually see this offer?  I’ve looked in the “Promotions” section, and it just tells you to try the new Angus Burger - no offer, and no way to get to the offer.  Any idea?  I’m in Ontario, so according to the other postings, this should work.

First of all the Promotion for the FREE Angus burger was Sunday, April 27th.  There is another one on now for another free regular burger, not sure of the details.  The city of Toronto is not a part of these promotions.  I believe they should not have them at all if Toronto gets excluded.  Or equip their restaurants to be able to handle the crowds.  It is totally infair to thousands of people.  I am boycotting them until their strategies change.

DUDE - I’ve been following this one for 2 weeks now (it seems like a month and a half) ... and SERIOUSLY, here’s the deal that is coming up ON MAY 25TH:

1) Free ORIGINAL hamburger - no purchase required, no coupon required.  Just walk in and ask.
2) Available at ALL Ontario locations (including the 4 downtown locations that didn’t accept the Angus coupon that expired this past Sunday).  Last year had 100% participation from Ontario restaurants according to HQ, so I can’t see that changing.
3) Also available at all Quebec locations.

NOW - to bring you up to speed on what happened over the past few weeks - Harvey’s emailed a coupon to their harveys.ca customers - this coupon got forwarded around and ended up (yep - you guessed it) here on RFD.  Promo snowballed into something HUGE and I think Harvey’s management panicked so they changed the date ... then of course all hell broke loose, so they changed their minds again, and honoured the Angus coupon at all stores except 4 locations downtown Toronto - Eaton Centre, Jarvis, Commerce Court, and Union Station.  Apparently because it was creating serious havoc on everything including traffic (I heard that the day the coupon broke there was a line up out to Front St. from the Harvey’s in Union) ...

So TWO separate promotions, (1) an ANGUS coupon that expired Sunday April 27th, and (2)a free ORIGINAL hamburger promo on May 25th only, they’re calling it Hamburger Day, to celebrate what they call “Canada’s Best Tasting Burger.” I would imagine they did the research to back that up

Well there’s no mention of this offer on the Harvey’s website, so maybe someone should change the original posting.  It tells people to go to the website for details and there’s nothing there - it’s confusing.

dc67, the details were on Harvey’s front page and now they’re not—however, the deal is still on (and still valid at all Harvey’s locations including downtown Toronto)—we’ve confirmed this with Harvey’s HQ.

May 25th is a Sunday.  Now I see why they did it this way, because the downtown Toronto locations won’t be overwhelmed with the working crowd.  Including me.

FYI - im talking about the Free Original Hamburger.. i didn’t get one line ups too long.. lol
