Just a note that they don’t really “make your job of vacuuming a snap.” They can be somewhat useful for regular cleaning, especially if you have simple room layouts without obstacles, but are not nearly as effective as a human with full vacuum cleaner. As well, they need to be maintained each time they are used. To be honest I think they’re currently more of a gimmick than anything, and I suspect the majority are unused after the novelty wears off.

I still use mine all the time. i bought mine 6 months ago at costco.ca.

it’s not maintenance free, you still have to empty out the dust bin and clean the brushes regularly. and if you don’t want it to be sitting in the corner collecting dust, get one with a programmable schedule and set it up with virtual walls.

also it’s important to know that a roomba won’t work in a cluttered house. it needs to move around easily and not hit everything around it. if that’s your case, you might as well use the money you pay for a roomba on a good vacuum and do it by hand.
