I printed the coupon and took it to the KFC at Major Mackenzie and Bayview.  They refuse to accept the coupon stating that they didn’t receive any notices from head office.

I took it to the KFC in Kitchener(Homer Watson & Bleams) and they accepted it no problem.  Even threw in a free Root beer for the wait.  Apparently they don’t get too many people going into KFC asking for a Vegetarian sandwich.

go figure! smile

I’ve tried it twice now. both times the coupon was accepted with no problems in the Ottawa area.......too bad the sandwich is disgusting! Once this coupon ends, they will cancel the sandwich due to low sales.  It’s not even fried in the KFC batter.  Just tastes like a weird, McFillet/McCain frozen something hybrid!  NOT worth $3.29 at all!

I tried this today in Pickering...good stuff!  They did not give me a hard time like Quiznos always does when it comes to promos.  tongue wink

I’ve tried it on the weekend and it tastes so good! It has that KFC taste to it, and when you bite into it, it almost feels like real meat (but of course its like any other veggie-meats). Got the 2 for 1 deal @ Bramalea CC and had to wait like 5 min for it. I would definately go get more!

I have used this coupon twice now in Southwestern Ontario.
This sandwich is AMAZING!!!  I used my leftover one to have something like Chicken Parmigian.  This is so much more delicious than a fake burger.

I’ll be ordering a lot of these!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a listing of stores which carry the veg sandwich?

Thanks kindly!

Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to find such a listing yet, shadomoon.

So .. can anyone tell me what faux chicken really is… if its not chicken .. what is it really??

I haven’t searched the Internet to see specifically what KFC uses but most of the fake meat I eat is made out of soybeans, sometimes combined with seitan (which is made from wheat).
I know I said it before but I am seriously impressed with this sandwich.  I order it with tomatoes and it really could use more lettuce.  I don’t each chicken anymore but I was a little concerned that I got a ‘real’ chicken sandwich because I thought it was a really convincing both in taste and texture.

Google “Soylent Green” for the answer

I tried to use this at the Danforth & Pharmacy location (Toronto) and they insisted it was a photocopy.  I had printed it in colour and I explained that it was an on-line coupon.  In fact, the other customers in the store took up my case and tried to get the staff to take it, but to no avail.  The lady practically laughed at me.  Oh well.  Too bad I’ll never try their sandwich because I’m certainly not going back there.
