IKEA Kitchen Event: Get 15% of What You Spend Back in Gift Cards (With Purchases of $1000+)

The IKEA Kitchen Event is on again! Now through August 9, you'll get 15% back in gift cards for everything you spend on building the IKEA Kitchen of your dreams (on purchases over $1000). In previous iterations the Kitchen Event rewarded you with 10% back so we're really happy to see they've upped the bonus!

They've got tons of sample kitchens here -- we'll take one each, please.

The Kitchen Event excludes countertops, sinks, faucets, delivery and installation.

Is there a maximum on the cash cards? We bought a fridge for about $1700 the week before the promo, today we went for a price match and they gave us only $150 in cards (=15% of $1000). Should we have received more?

How often does this type of sale happen? We want to do a new kitchen in September/October and don’t want to miss out.

The last one was in February 09, and before that, there were events in September 08 and July 08. If the trend repeats you’ll see another event in September 09, but of course, there’s no way we could know for sure.
