Is there a way of adding the coupon to two monitors? I’m a dual monitor guy and I want to have two of these at the lower price. |

the rather blatantly obvious answer would be to buy one, twice...since there is no shipping anyway there’s no extra cost in buying them separately? |

Is the PC worth it? I have a credit with Dell for 25% off from a prior dispute, so basically, I can buy whatever computer/laptop I want and get 25% off the final purchase price, including tax. Is this worth it to buy and spend my money on? I would like to buy a laptop and PC soon so I’m indifferent. I am fairly price insensitive although I think my wife would kill me if I bought a $4K PC, even with 25% off. I know nothing about computers really. Any help is appreciated. |

just when I bought the Vostro for $319+tax, then they come out with a better deal .... with a larger harddisk also.... |

Note you can configure the system with a a Core 2 Quad Q6600 for $439 and now they are using 800MHz instead of 667MHz RAM like before. |

Why is the 24” dell such a big deal? There is a 24” Samsung 1080P SyncMaster for only 389.99… And the specs are even better than dell… |
| dmalice |
@theQuack: Wrong. The Samsung 1080p syncmaster isn’t half the monitor that the Dell 2408wfp is. Samsung uses the inferior TN panel while Dell uses the far superior S-PVA type of panel. In addition, the Dell provides HDMI/Component/Composite Video/Audio inputs. The Dell stand is even far far superior to the Samsung. The so-called “specs” that Samsung beats the Dell in are marketing gimicks like lightning fast 2ms response time (almost indiscernable with the Dell’s response time) and Samsung will boast things like 10000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio which again is just to fool chumps into thinking that it matters, when the human eye can’t tell between 3000:1, 1000:1, 10000:1. The Samsung is crap compared to the Dell, that is what the price reflects. |

In addition, TN panels have TERRIBLE viewing angles. That being said, TN panels are good for one thing only: Gaming. |

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=31&threadid=2049206&enterthread=y Is a great thread to read to learn about monitors… oh and one last point, the Samsung is 6-bit, meaning while it claims support for 16.7 million colors, it only truly displays 262K colors, while the Dell is a true 8-bit monitor which can actually display 16.7 million colors |

I’m so happy about the 24” ultrasharp! I sat on the $574 offer my Dell business rep gave for a few days and today, BANG, the price I wanted! |

just got my 24” dell lcd, sweet deal for the quality and input. I recommend the 4th Year Limited Warranty Extension, Advanced Exchange for only $29 more, make the total above $600 after tax a bit high but knowing that my LCD is FULLY protected for 4 year is a peace of mind that i need |
