Haunted Hotel Get-Aways from $108/night @ Expedia.com & Ghost Tours $14 + @ Expedia.ca
Spooky deals abound this month at Expedia.com, like the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa in Eureka Springs, AR from $108 US per night. Here's what the hotel says about itself: "1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa includes 15 acres of gardens, Ozark Mountain views, a spa, pool, and casual and fine-dining restaurants. All 72 guestrooms offer Victorian décor with bold colors and antique furnishings. Balconies offer mountain or garden views. This hotel and spa offers a mountaintop location at the center of the nationally designated historic district of Eureka Springs." Oh yeah, and It's HAUNTED! Deemed the "America's Most Haunted Resort Hotel," a popular ghost-hunting television show recently uncovered thermal video footage of a male figure haunting an area of the hotel.
And that's not the only one - The Omni Parker House in Boston starts at $229 US per night and a number of ghosts, including the hotel’s founder and a 19th century stage actress, are suspected to haunt the 1855 historic hotel located along Boston's Freedom Trail. It is also the place where JFK proposed to his future wife and held his bachelor party, Malcom X worked as a busboy, and Boston Cream Pie was invented. In New Orleans, Le Pavillon Hotel begins at $129 per night. It is built on the site of a theater that mysteriously burned down in 1889, several apparitions have been spotted throughout the hotel and restaurant. And finally, The Queen Mary in Long Beach starts at $109 US per night; the restless souls of former crew members and passengers who may have met an untimely death while sailing aboard the Queen Mary are said to haunt the historic 1936 ocean liner's halls every day.
