I live in North Bay....they just reopened after an E.coli scare...50+, and over 250 other reported secondary reports…

People were lined up the first day it re-opened...but a lot of people still scared…

I love Harvey’s!  But I haven’t been to Harvey’s for about 3 years ever since they took off the Junior/Value Burger from the menu.  Did they bring that back?
I was just there today and 1 angus burger alone costed me $5.41 in Montreal.  I’d never pay that much for 1 burger if it wasn’t for the coupon…

Calvin,
How much TAX was on that?  Don’t forget your QST is calculated on the total with GST in la belle province.  And you’d pay at least that for a Mickey D’s burger, the only difference is that the Harvey’s burger actually has some taste.  Besides, you’re really missing out by not adding the milkshake and the poutine.  smirk

Jspringer, the burger itself is $4.79 before tax.  They used to have Junior burgers that had about 1/2 of the meat but 4/5 of the dressings and 3/4 of the bun.  The juniors used to cost $1.59.  I’d take 2 juniors over a regular any day for the same price… but the juniors are actually cheaper.  Not to mention the juniors can end up much healthier (less fat per total weight) depending on the stuff you put on it.
McDonalds now has a Value menu so you can get by with pocket change.
I agree with you that Harvey’s burger tastes much better, but McD fries are arguably the best in the world whereas Harvey’s fries suck big time IMO (new and old recipe) so their poutines aren’t good because of that.
And talking about la belle province, there is a chain in QC called “La Belle Province” and they have the authentic poutine with super greasy fries.

I’ve been to La Belle Province.  It’s ok.  You’re right on the super greasy!!

La Belle Province is the absolute best for greasy fries (isn’t that the way they’re supposed to be???).  We moved to Toronto from Montreal 10 years ago and whenever we go home, we head right for La Belle.  Can’t find REAL smoked meat here in TO.  Ditto for steamies (here, steamies means mussels!).

Can’t stop eating Anguses...when is the 30th gonna come??? Someone help!!!

Hahaha…

Works fine in Quebec, both coupons (SPC and the one in this thread). Just give it to the cashier, and get it topped.

I noticed an interesting thing...in Montreal, they put 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of pickle, while on SouthShore (Brossard), they give you two of each...weird.

How can I find out which are “participating locations”?

I’m sure you can have extra slices of any topping if you ask! I always do!

suebie, only ON and QC are eligible. Go to your favorite Harway’s and ask...or even better, just give them the coupon as if you knew in advance that they accepted them. Also, if one of them doesn’t accept it, try others, sometimes the managers try to get smart with you.
