Free Admission to Canadian Museum of Civilization and Other Museums With Ottawa Public Library Card

Earlier this week we posted about the Toronto Public Library offering free admission to many museums and reader Sweet Deal alerted us to a similar program in Ottawa.

With an Ottawa Public Library card you can sign out one of 75 passes for each of the following museums: Canadian Museum of Nature, Canadian Museum of Civilization, and Canada Science and Technology Museum. There is also an Ottawa Museum Pass that includes admission to "10 local museums that tell the greater Ottawa story."

The program is free and open to all OPL cardholders.

Ottawa has quite a backlog of requests for passes FYI, but you can queue up all the same.

Good luck getting these passes. By the time you will get your turn there are good chances that you already visited the museum. What a useless service launched by public libraries. I am 3756 in the queue. If each person keep it for week (best case) then you have 3756 weeks worth of waiting period.
