I asked the Dell people (chat) today, they told me the battery lasts 1-2 hours depends on usage!!!!

Just a small note about these great mini systems. The ubuntu systems run much much more efficiently and have no need for virus software or MS Office. you can get a fully loaded system for under $500. I infinitely prefer my mini 10 ubuntu to the mini 10 xp I bought for my wife. the difference in speed from power up to program processing is substantial.
If you have a U.S addy you can use the .com site and pick up a more powerful machine with Ubuntu.

dell are such losers, they only shipped my gf’s order last Friday (that was the ubuntu version on sale for the last DoD, that’s like a whole freaking month).
I guess they decided that if they do not ship on Friday, we would cancel and jump on this new deal.... beware of availability.

Can you still return the order and pick up this new deal? Dell did the same thing to me with my Christmas gift. They missed Christmas so I returned my item. It was a bit of a hassle but overall Dell was quite good about the whole thing.
