haha, what’s with that eh? Isn’t this suppose to be a deal that Dell + Bell are making? Why is Rogers even showing up? I tried with my info (i currently have bell) and my friend’s info (he has rogers) and neither shows bell--only rogers.

I have the same problem. I check my address in Bell’s website. It’s available.

I talked to Dell’s service. They let me make order through Bell directly.

It looks like a cheat!!!!!!!!!

if the contract’s only for a year
i’d say it’s a pretty sweet deal..

Trying to get this for a friend. It’s a sweet deal, but only if the service is available…

At my place, there are three options:
- Bell (12 month contract) @ $49.95
- Bell (reg) @ $49.95
- Robers @ $47.75

With my current provider (7 Mbps but @ $29.95) I would save $240 by going to the (port-blocked / no-server allowed / no fixed IP address / multi-level support organization with the lovely Emily) Bell side.

The ad just makes it look like its Bell only. DSL is not available is my area and when I put in my address, it came back with the same offers for a 12 months Rogers 5Mb connection @ 47.95. However when I look at what Rogers has to offer it only lists 7Mb (Express) and 10Mb (Extreme). If anyone can clarify, post back here.

Clarification of details… I don’t know why it says 3Mb here and 5 on the other page, but this is from the website:

$47.95 Monthly Service Fee
Your first 3 months of High Speed internet access are included, after that period you will be charged $47.95/month unless you cancel
Modem set-up of up to 3.0 Mbps download and 384 Kbps upload
Provides up to 9 e-mail addresses
Access Webmail from any computer connected to the internet
10 MB of WebSpace per active e-mail address
Technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
10% discount for Rogers VIP Members
Access to Rogers Yahoo! premium content and services

i called and apparently
if you don’t have a bell landline phone
u’r not eligible.

TBone2K

Yep, confirmed. They let me go all the way through the process and choose Rogers, but I don’t qualify for the deal unless you get Sympatico. Nowhere does it stop and say that if you don’t choose Bell. In fact, their $47.95/mo for Rogers Express if $3/mo more than going and buying it yourself.
