Best Buy: Trade in Old Tube TV for $250 Off a 50” or Larger 1080p Flat Panel
Are you looking to upgrade that an old tube television to something a little more modern? You might want to head over to Best Buy then, where as part of their Flat Panel TV Event, they are offering a Tube Trade-In -- bring in an old tube TV (any condition or size, as long as the screen isn't cracked) to qualify for $250 off any 50" or larger LCD or plasma 1080p flat planel television. This promotion isn't valid for online purchases.

Would be a good deal except that just about all of the qualifying TVs are at regular price.
I was able to find one TV at Futureshop that was $300 cheaper then BB. Thats $50 less and you dont have to trade in a TV.

i am planning to use my 13” tv to trade in and buy the tv for $250 off
and then return the 50” tv
so i get 250 store credit for my 13” tv
and use that store credit towards my next purchase when they lower the prices
i dunno if that will work or not

hey Mitsui le me know if that works or not....
I asked about buying Futureshop about buying a tv so I could get the Rogers PVR for 299 instead of 500 then return the TV and keep the PVR. But I was informed they would ask for the PVR back or I would have to pay the full price

This deal is very lame, all their 1080p 50” TVs are $300 over their usual “sale” price.

I’m not sure if BB would price match. B/c a TV at Visions.ca Samsung LN52A530 is $1784, so if BB price-matched it’d be 1999-1784=215 so. 1784 - 1784*.1 = 1762.50 - 250(tube offer) = $1512.50 + tax + environmental fee would be approx. $1700 which is a good deal.

I think there should be deals somewhere else lower than (the BB price-$250).

I just bought the Samsung 50” plasma 1080p for $1599 minus the $250 exchange, which comes to $1349. This TV is rated no1 in the Consumer Report. Any way you look at it, this is a great deal!

futureshop has the tv i’m looking at for $500 less than best buy. sony kdl52w4100.
man, if bestbuy would price match, + give me $250 for an old 13” tube tv sitting in my basement, DONE DEAL!

I went to a bestbuy store today with my old tv and they told me to bugger off… sale ended last week.
Terrible customer service. Very embarrassing. I won’t be shopping there ever again.
