looked at this tonight, not impressed.  I was really hoping it’d be good but I can tell why its 799.  I compared it a samsung and LG that was beside it.  LG was just a tad better in terms of PQ.  Anyways, its static contrast ratio and correct me if im wrong, it doesnt have a gaming mode which other plasmas have.

Just called BB to check store stock - I was advised that this is a pricing error on the website and they are not honouring this price in the store.  He told me they’ve had lots of calls on this and I could hear a person in the background explaining the same thing to another customer.  Hopefully the on-line orders will not be cancelled… :(

Was just about to rush out to my Best Buy store in Vancouver and I thought I would print out the webpage to show them the price.  Voila!  They have changed the price on the website.  Too bad....

When I heard about this sale, I went in store yesterday to compare quality with another monitor I was interested in.  Well, there in store model was horrible, where parts of the images were freezing up for 1-2 seconds while the rest of the image was still displayed normally.  When asked, the BB tv guy in Montreal told me “this is a problem with the signal, it could happen to any other TV on display” while is body was shouting that he was lying (moving backward away from me, avoiding looking me in the eyes, ...).  After all, all the TV where receiving the same signal. 

If you do get this TV, it’s probably worth it to consider the extended waranty and asking if it cover suposidly “bad signal”

Best Buy has contacted us again.  Apparently, it was an internal price error, the $799.99 price was for the 720p model.  Those who bought at $799.99 will have the price honored, but the deal is now expired.

Good news!  I just bought this TV in-store.  If you go in and ask about it, they probably won’t know anything, but an “alert” went out on their “retailer” site asking them to honour the $799 for today only.  So ask them to look for the information.

That’s good news if true, cooperplus.  Just be sure you’ve got the 1080p model (NS-PDP50HD-09).

The 720p version has a very similar model number: NS-PDP50-09

They tried to give me the 720p version but the e-mail they received from Head Office backed up my claim and they honoured it.  I was impressed!

I tried to get the tv online and it was sold out, so i went to the store 1st thing this morning when it opened, and the staff had to call their managers (who werent aware of this sale) and they were trying to give me the 720p tv. I showed them the online add and they had no choice but to give the 1080p at that price… it took me an hour cuz the managers had to call head office and all this other crap… but i got it, i think its well worth it!!

I got an order online but decided to see if my local bestbuy would honour the price and save myself 80 in shipping.  He said he couldn’t match the price. I explained to the manager (never knew about the sale) that head office had sent out a memo to all the stores. He checked and honoured the price for me.  Redflags and its peeps here are the greatest.  With the shared info I was able to save $80 Now what to do with the online order. hmmm Anyone close to Windsor want it?

I discovered RedFlagDeals.com a few weeks ago looking for an HDTV 40 inches or more. I was lucky to see this post this morning and even luckier to get that TV for 799.99 $
I went to the Laval store at lunch time. The salesman did not want to honor the 799.99$ price because of an erratum. I ask him to show a proof and he said the manager told him about it. So he went on the Best Buy intranet in the section for corrected prices but he didn’t find it. I ask him to go to the Best Buy web site and the price was still showing 799.99$ so they had to honor the “steal price” of 799.99 $ Just in time for the Hockey season. Go Habs ! Go !
