Dell.ca: New 13.3” Inspiron 13 Laptop Launched (Starting From $699)
Today marks Dell's launch of a new Inspiron laptop. It's a 13" laptop, that, surprisingly enough, is called the Inspiron 13. The introductory pricing starts from $699, but we think the $799 configuration with a Core 2 Duo T5750 processor upgrade for a final price of $859 offers the most value.
The Inspiron 13 takes some design cues from the XPS and Studio laptop lines and includes a slot loading optical drive and rounded hinge design. NotebookReview.com praises the Inspiron 13 for attractive design, build quality, good battery life, a solid keyboard, and a great price. It's not a premium notebook computer, but it's a 13.3" model that looks like it strikes a good balance between price, build quality, and features.

Dell: MS Office Home & Student $100, Sony DCRHC62 1MP MiniDV Handycam w/Batt, Case, DVC $359 & More
Here's a hodgepodge of deals we've found over at Dell.ca to get you going:
According to PriceCanada.com, you won't find the DCR-HC62 alone for cheaper than $315 or so at other retailers. The battery Dell includes in the bundle, the Sony NPFH50 InfoLITHIUM H Series Rechargeable Battery Pack itself retails for no less than $65. Add in case and a Sony 60 Minute Digital Video Cassette too (probably about $7-$10 at retail) as well as free shipping and the package looks pretty appealing.
Microsoft Office Home & Student at $99.99 is also a good buy. This is the retail package which usually costs around $170, so this offer is certainly something to keep in mind for back to school needs.

New Studio Laptop Line from Dell - Core 2 Duo 15” from $799, Core 2 Duo 17” from $999
Dell.ca has just launched a new line of notebooks dubbed the Studio Line. It looks like these laptops sit between the Inspiron and XPS lines, but take on some of the frills and design aspects of the higher end XPS design such as tapered edges, slot loading optical drives, rounded hinges, and more. There's also a new set of colours to choose from and many configuration options. The launch prices look very reasonable. An early review at NotebookReview.com gives the Studio 17 an Editor's choice award. Sounds good to us! Let's have a look at the specs:
First up is the Studio 15 (15.4" model) with a base price of $799:
