View allI can't see it selling that well, just because PS Now has a lot of negative buzz going for it. For me it's been as good as having a PS3. Actually, better. The UI loads 1000% faster, for whatever reason, and the "lag input" that people like to complain about is practically non-existent with my internet. I have felt it maybe three times out of the thirty-ish hours that I have logged in various games. Not enough to be bothered by it, surely.
Here's hoping they make the pricing permanent eventually. It really is a good price point. At $99/year, it's less than what I pay for Netflix each month. And video games cost way more than movies/tv shows do. So iunno, it's all about how people perceive things. The more reasons I have for not getting another PS3 again, the better.
The one year deal ends tomorrow.
Don't buy from amazon.com as somebody suggested since those are in USD.
The price for Canada is $99 CAD, not USD.
I tweeted their support at the end of December. So it took them 2 weeks to fix it for me.
Update.
Here is the thread: http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/ ... alse#M8663
I've even tried PayPal and got the same message.
Who gives a ***** what people on here think. If you want a slew of PS3 games to stream on your PS4, go ahead and get it.
If your internet is a potato, continue to buy PS3 games and play them on your PS3.
Don't see why this is so difficult. Figure your ***** out and stop whining about how $99 is too much for a great service.
Giving your credit card info to Sony is like sleeping with someone who has STDs.
If it was $9/month (no commitment) I'd probably subscribe, never really use it, but never actually cancel because:
a. "i'll use it next month"
b. "i can cancel at any time".
Like my shomi subscription
Might actually sign up for the year... then again I have too much of a backlog to throw away $100 on games that may or may not be played.
This promo finally got me to try the 7-day trial. I'm actually surprised with how smooth things run. Very impressive. Still not sure if I'll be subscribing or not, but great to know the service works well.
Constantly receiving error.
If they include decent PS4 games to the list, I might consider it.
I just bought a Sony Blu Ray player on Black Friday for $70, and it supports Playstation Now. I'm a little tempted to be honest, and with Fibe 50/50 speed wouldn't be a problem.
God of War took maybe a minute to load
Batman 2 mins or so
Shadows of Colossus 4 mins I believe
Given the magnitude of being able to stream a game and play it, that's fine me.
I'm still going to play around for next 5 days of trial but I am impressed so far.
I have a question though - can saves be transferred to and from disc copies?
If there's only one thing i want added is that i hope they put this service to all phones and tablets like they were originally planning.
Good deal, just wish the selection was a little larger.
I've experience a hiccup here or there but same with Netflix.
You're not paying for the games: you're paying for the streaming service.
People can laugh or call it a *****ty service all they want, but it provides games that my internet is more than capable of handling, and a ***** ton of trophies. And, best of all, it makes the PS3 even more useless to own.
$100/year. And there's no lag if you have an internet connection that is of this century...
