View allother than the fact that Toronto got an NBA team and U of T, Vancouver is superior in every way imo
fine with me! Employees and manager were chill and knew exactly what I was doing. I just told them because the launch has so many defects I decided I didn't want the system anymore so the accessories were useless to me.
if it gets really bad for me, I think I will take that option LOL
do you think Montreal will be ok though? I don't speak a word of French so Montreal is only option for me
Go refund it out of town, at a store that doesn't care, or come here to Quebec
I've encountered some vicious EB games employees in Toronto and I really wanna get this refund..
any method to return you recommend please..?
The official company policy is no-receipt returns can ONLY be done at the original store of purchase.
This is because the same-store records are polled and pulled up when the EDGE card is scanned.
If you go to a different store, the associate is willingly doing a no-receipt refund with null fields - no original purchase information populated.
Let's hope those lovely associates don't get internally audited anytime soon
I hope you understand that ALL switch merchandise was eligible for a Promo bump prior to release.
When you do a refund, and the system recognizes TRADE CREDIT was used, it immediately shows as a method of tender for refund.
The only reason associates are letting this slip are because:
1) in a rush so they don't care or
2) don't want to go through the trouble of figuring out how to return the tender TRADE CREDIT
any back up plan u suggest? because I feel like they would know that I got the switch via the promotion either way... kinda obvious for them i assume

EBGames cannot do a no-receipt return if you go to a Different store.
No-receipt returns can only done if you originally purchased the item at the same location.
Pick up the switch, wait 24 hours (takes 24 hours to reflect purchases on edge card) , go to a different location without your receipt, and have them return it using your edge card. They wont be able to prove anything as to how you got your credit, and they'll give it back to you as credit.
I've decided to not keep the switch and if I want to convert the preorder to eb games store credit..
should I pick it up in March and return? or go back like months later as some others have suggested here?
Wait until the switch has more games and is a proven winner. Right now the systems are all bought up and the scalpers are taking advantage of people too eager to have the latest and "greatest" toy on market. The game lineup is pretty bleak too.
Now is the time to get a Wi-u on the cheap and enjoy some nintendo games.
Also a quick question someone may know. We have 2 1tb PS4's and one doesn't get used. Does anyone know EBs current value for the system and to go along with that what they offer for the old 3DS XL?
Thanks so much in advance. It blows my mind I didn't find this site until today.
i pre order Zelda special edition on the websiteand i got it today. can I return the zelda to store and grab my trade in game, ask the associate to apply the game with double credit to this speical edition and buy it back?
I noticed on the new promos posted online there is a disclaimer that says you can't move credit to another title so maybe they're going to crack down on promos going forward.
I think if people experience any problems when trying to cancel or change to non switch stuff it's going to be very location based. Sounds like in winnipeg none of the stores will be letting you change to non switch stuff.
However, they also said that I could just put it towards another game (like Zelda), never pick it up, and wait until Xenoblade 2 comes out and use the $79.99 from this promo then since (paraphrasiing) "Xenoblade 2 is a Switch title and the money is already on your card and can't be taken away".
Sounds a bit sketchy to me so I held off on doing so. Can anyone confirm or try asking if this can be done?
