View allThere's less incentive to pre-order from them anymore. Might as well look for a deal in the flyers when the game is released.
It is still there, just not for the already E3 discounted games ie. Death Stranding, God of War etc.
The games that are not on sale on Walmart for 49.96 will be eligible for 20% off. It will say so on the product page under Promotions.
20% discount for Prime subscribers on select Nintendo Switch games on both Amazon.ca and Amazon.com
This includes pre-orders too like Mario Kart & Splatoon
Update: It showed up 9 days later even with priority shipping, thanks Canada Post!
I took a day off work to play, I may just go buy it in store on Friday...
Was able to get World of Final Fantasy for 20% off today, after it had been released. So basically amazon prime = never have to pay MSRP??
That's pretty nice IMO
Based on what I've seen so far, the main difference I'm seeing is no more lengthy delays on shipping. Also had no trouble dealing with a CSR recently. Maybe it pays to be Prime. *shrug*.

From the looks of it, orders from Prime members are assigned to staff and expedited. But there's probably still a chance you can come up short if your order is assigned to a guy who can't find your stuff in the warehouse (sorta like getting a bad taxi driver in a certain TV show...), there isn't enough to go around even for Prime members, or the shipment got delayed.
Funny thing is battlefield 1 was ready to ship on Monday and hasn't either. Says its supposed to arrive on Friday. Ill believe it when I see it.
It seems my game was scheduled to be shipped to me in January. The system had it shipping out mid January! I cannot believe it!
She tried to push it trough but the system wouldn't let her to do it.
She cancelled my order without asking and gave me a $15 credit however I ordered at 49.99 - 20% ... 79.99 - 15$ isn't much of a deal.
I've emailed her back to see if she can fix it again.
Also, in her email response she stated that he problem was that I picked free shipping. If I would of picked 1 day shipping I would not have had any issues with delivery.
WTH
+++Edit+++
The situation seems to have been resolved. The second rep made me re-order and adjusted the price to the promo price I had pre ordered so I don't get additional rebates but I still get my 39.99$ pre-order price.
Now, who knows when this one will shipp as it is still with free shipping.
According to both reps a 2 to 3 week delay for free shipping is uncommon but normal.. Sigh
Enjoy!
I was told it's out of stock, but I have the limited edition one. So I'm curious.
Talked to Amazon, they extended my Prime membership by a month for free, and gave me $10 off the already discounted order (I'm getting the game for PS4 all-in for $40)
I'm happy with that resolution. I didn't need to play it day 1 anyway.
Also, does this apply to special editions?
