    • Even with the promo code I was quoted about $650 return from Toronto to Vancouver in the first week of April.

Through expedia, I can get a hotel + car included all for about $650.

That's a pretty sick deals if it really exists.....flight, car, and hotel for $650? How many days are you staying in Vancouver?

I am debating b/w Vancouver and Las Vegas (all depends on my friends). Prices for Vegas are only $50 more per person (MGM/Monte Carlo - same price). But regardless of the destination, it will be Apr 4-8.

Unfortunately, promo code does not apply to Vegas. It only applies to New York, Anaheim, San Fran and a few other places. Should be in the fine print in my first post.

    • Any idea where to put in the promo code when you're booking? I'm not seeing a spot for it. Are we sure you can use the promo code on top of the seat sale?

No they don't, same as all other airlines.
If prices go UP, they don't ask you to pay more either

Only exception is if you booked within last 24 hours, then they can cancel/change/rebook you for FREE <-- both WS & AC do this

According to their service fees page, it may cost $50 plus tax per person to cancel.

      https://www.westjet.com/guest/en/tra...ice-fees.shtml

Cancel your reservation after 24 hours of booking
(up to two hours prior to departure) A $50 CAD/USD fee (plus tax, per person) may be charged, depending on the type of fare being cancelled. The remaining funds will become a travel bank credit.

Might be worth cancelling and rebooking, depending on how many tickets you bought?

    • I'm not sure where I heard this, and I'm less sure if WestJet is the airline that does this ... but if you want to fly earlier or later on the same day as your scheduled flight, and there are seats available, you are able to change your flight without any fees.

      Does WestJet offer this?

    • Air Canada first came out with the 15% off discount. Westjet started a sale yesterday. Today, Westjet added the 15% off discount. Air Canada reduce the prices to match Westjet.

      For example:
      Saskatoon to Vancouver
      ongoing cheapest price $169
      Air Canada sale $144
      yesterday WJ sale $129
with WJ 15% off $109.65 (Air Canada sale $109.65)

This can be done if you're flying between the "Eastern Triangle" cities of Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. http://www.westjet.com/guest/en/deal...triangle.shtml

Standby for an earlier flight on the same day with absolutely no added fee
