View allDoes anyone with an HDMI 2.0 video card know if this tv does 4k@60hz@4:4:4 without downsampling to 4:2:2?
I've read all the threads for this TV and haven't seen anyone confirm/deny it. I know the 55" cannot do 4:4:4 but hoping this one can!
The $50 off will be back again. Saw the 65" but imagine the sound sucks just as much.
Went from a 39" Insignia to a 49" and the sound is just borderline bareable........
cheapo but it only tilts up and down a bit...doesnt do side to side or swivel? i think i'll look for a better one

Would be for a bedroom so it wont be played loud at all.
I was thinking of using my existing computer speakers (old logitec z 2300) and getting a splitter but I want both computer & TV to be able to use them. Is this possible?
Any ideas?
And you can cut the $90 difference even more if you go get the Avera version of this TV from newegg ebay store for $299
After following aasorsor's guide the TV's getting better!
Check the owners thread I linked above, make sure you calibrate brightness and contrast per the calibrations instructions. You might need to reduce the backlight as well.
even though they are both 49" reading the dimensions online for each tv says the haier is a fair bit larger than the hisense.
seems odd.
You can't judge the set before feeding it 4K videos to see it running at its native resolution. Follow the calibration guide in the owners thread and calibrate the set to your own viewing environment, copying settings will just mess up the picture.

You can see from the pictures my LG shows more details on Rihanna's bxxbs, the black detail is not so good. I haven't found a good configuration for this TV so I might or might not return it. The speakers are loud but sound like you're kicking a tin can, very small amount of bass.
If I did not compare this to my LG, I'd say the screen quality is good.
If anyone figures out a good setting please share In fact, I think sharpness 50 works for me..

I noticed you cant change tint for some reason, if it is unlocked there, that would be cool
Also, the service menu code for this set is menu > 8893 if you're looking to dig deeper into settings.
The 2016 55" is BOE
The 2017 55" is Samsung
The 65" is Samsung
How is the quality upclose, is it 3-4 feet away you ?
What software have you found for splitting the tv in 4 ?
I bought the samsung 55 4k however everything was running slow, I think I had fixed it with a new hdmi cord, but at 4k up close I was having neck pain. I returned it then.
Please let me know how everything turned out for you.
