Fine print just says "not available in all areas", but doesn't specify provinces.

    • If you had the Student Plan before and are now on the regular price for thus plans how can you just keep everything and switch? Or do you have to go through whole process again? I am currently on the Personal TV plan what I don't think exists anymore.

    • Where on site did you have to verify email?

    • Same like last year, fill out the information with your school email address (ex. xx@ubc.ca, xx@sfu.ca) and the online team will send you a verification email to complete the order. Current and new customers can both do this.

Is that the only verification they do? Usually you get to keep your school email address forever. My gf is still a student so no worries but seems like pretty big loop hole for verification.

I do believe you will have to switch over to Small/Medium TV if you want student offers.

Also for the verification process they may ask for school schedule and/or valid student ID when the tech comes out.

Ah, ok guess I have to go and see which package will get me the channels I want.

I would imagine that since I already have service they would not need someone to come out if I switch to student plan.

    • How many TV's does the tv include?

I have two currently, and two for my two tenants. Would it be $20 for all?

Majority of customers don't know about it. Also Shaw is making money regardless. It keeps current customers from jumping to other providers. They only offer the student plan for a limited time.

    • So Tony, if I'm currently locked in the WideOpen 150 deal from last year with 1 year remaining on my contract at $79.90/month, can I switch over to this deal assuming I'm a student and NOT pay the $15/month cancel fee? I mean, I technically am not cancelling, just switching services....

Being on the Value Plans makes you in-eligible for this offer, you have to pay out the current contract and then sign up for this offer. The math works out to some savings even if you cancel the current contract and then get this.

Yep, the TMN/HBO is just an addon to TV so you can take it off anytime after.
