Short and sweet -- if you're in need of some online storage, you can sign up for 100GB free courtesy of Shared.com. With physical hard drives still pretty pricey, here's an opportunity to save music, movies, pictures and other files without having to pay a dime.

Just a heads up, we'd still recommend keeping several copies of files stored in different areas but 100GB free is 100GB free. Enjoy!

Thanks to duckdown for sharing this one with us!

Only 1 download at a time
Ads (not seeing any on my iPad yet...)

Hey folks, just thought I'd pass along a sweet deal for 100gb free cloud space at www.shared.com

Been uploading all night, it has a really nice drag & drop through the web interface and pretty sure there are mobile apps for it as well.. I've already backed up 20gb or so of stuff so far. Not sure on any encryption policies they have or don't have, so I've encrypted my stuff with 7zip or TrueCrypt before uploading, but it's not necessary

The interface looks like this, if anyone is curious:

ImageImage hosted for free at CtrlV.in

      Enjoy!
Thanks for saving me sometime with the registration. Will not be getting this.

Whether you knew about a site six months ago or not has absolutely no bearing on if this is a good deal or not. Who made you the universal arbiter on the matter?

I don't get it. There is no prize for having a lot of posts and I was pointing out that the dude's post is funny.

Oh why am I even explaining myself to some random nobody? Ignored

    • Do they have a folder that automatically syncs with the cloud like dropbox have or we have to individually select the files ?

I can only find option to individually select. in that case, it might not be too cool

    • Does anyone know what the file "expiry" settings are? It says if you upgrade and pay you get "forever storage" that doesn't expire, but it doesn't tell you when your files expire on the free version. I don't want my stuff to just disappear. Also the lack of information on the site and their privacy policy makes me think this site is pretty sketchy.

Your post looks more like a post who.re than the post you quote.

2gb per file is plenty big, bigger than MOST other providers.

It looks like after 90 days of not logging in, the files are deleted. Good idea on their part for clearing accounts where people try it and don't like it, but it definitely makes me a little worried about using it as a main source of online storage.

Also does anybody know if they have this or plan on having this integrated with Android or IOS devices?
