This offer was just announced on Subway Canada's facebook page, so the fine-print details aren't available yet, but in previous years this promotion allowed you to instantly receive any regular 6" sub for free when you load a Subway Card with a minimum of $25 in store. Free sandwiches are limited to one per gift-card purchase (even if you are buying more than one gift card) and will likely be available through December.

- Was just at a subway minutes ago and saw the sign. I was going to do the promo but the manager said it doesn't start until Dec 1.

- I was at a Subway and the manager told me that it runs until December 1st, I am definitely going to take advantage of this deal I love Subway I'll use this on the days that the sub of the day sucks, you can get any sub you want even the chicken bacon ranch or the steak and bacon subs.

- This promo has been running on and off for quite a while so I'm more inclined to say that the December 1st end date is more plausible. I just picked up my third Subway gift card earlier this week.

  Should have asked the dumb manager why he had the sign out then. Probably just being cheap not wanting to give a free sub. A while back a similar promo was going on. Sign said any 6 inch was free. Cheap manager would only give me a classic.

- A week before Halloween, the girl allowed me to get the $25 GF first (with free chicken and bacon 6"), then pay for the 2 for $12 deal for two Rib subs using that card. That was a really good deal
  
  This past Sunday, I asked them to add the $25 to the partial GF I already had, and she was like, "uh, we do not reload, we can only give you new ones". Not sure if that was just that store, or if they were lazy or what. Whatever a plastic card costs them, they are wasting. I'm guessing $0.10-$0.40 a card is their cost.

- My local Subway gives 6" and pop for getting a $25 gift card. It's not a promo and has been ongoing for at least the last two years. Extra cheese is free as well.

- FYI i bought this, this morning on my way to Tims, and they gave me a coupon for future visit since i didnt want the sub yet. Its good till Jan 2013.

- IMO, subway has gone downhill. The chicken isn't chicken and spending $6 on cold cuts seems weird when I could go to the grocery store and make my own sandwich.

  it depends on your perspective. Subway is there for your convenience. They must be doing something right to be surviving because why is Mr. Sub gone? You hardly see them around because Subway took over the market by storm. Everyone says they can make a sandwich themselves, but do they do it? Some people like them for the convenience factor.

- We went on Saturday (Dec. 1) and bought four $25 cards for gifts. We then rec'd four 6-inch subs for lunch. Any type, so we went for the premium ones (whatever they call them), no problem. Those alone would have been worth amost $20. This was at the Sherwood Forest location in London.
  
  funny thing, about two months ago the Hyde Park location (beside Starbucks) closed, big note on the door saying the tenant owed them $26,000 in back rent. OUCH! Never have seen a Subway close so we assume either the landlord wasn't holding up thier end of the lease (repairs, upkeep etc.) or the franchisee had an outside problem (gambling etc). This location was always busy since it is in a huge shopping complex (w CT, Walmart, Old Navy, Sport Chek, etc). There is also a quiznos in the same centre that is never particularily busy.
  
  Hope it opens back up! The other one near us is owned by a certain *type* of owner that is notorious for being cheap with adding toppings, of course ever employee at that location *appears* to be from the same family, so it doesn't matter when you go, you feel like you are are putting them out by saying "more lettuce...more...more....more olives...more...more. We try to avoid that location!

  Offer is still on the website. What you do is tell them the premium sub type you want and get them to make it for you. Then when it's time to pay, tell them you would like to buy the $25 gift card and the 6" sub is the free one you would like.
  
  If they make any stink about it, walk away and leave them with the loss of a sandwich.
  
  The problem is crooked franchise operators not following corporate policy which they are supposed to. Contact Subway corporate at the following link and give them your feedback of the bad experience:

  They will usually phone or email you directly to resolve the issue and the franchise owner will get his hand slapped, unless he's a repeat offender, which they will threaten to not renew his franchise licence.
  
  Plus they normally send you coupons in the mail with an apology letter as well...
