If you enjoy dining at Pickle Barrel, here's a tasty freebie for you -- get a free appetizer when you 'Like' them on Facebook. All you need to do is click 'Like', then fill in your first and last name, and you'll be directed to print out your personlized coupon with your name on it.

This coupon is only available for dine-in only, so print out and present your coupon along with valid photo ID to your server or waiter. There is a limit of one coupon per customer, but keep in mind that the coupon does not include gratuities. Here are the appetizers that are eligible for this freebie offer:

P.B. Roadside Sliders
Mixed Berry Salad
P.B. Famous Nachos
Fresh Steamed Mussels
Roasted Vegetable Quesadilla

The offer expires 30 days after you sign up for the coupon.

- We used 2 coupons for a table of 5 without a problem. I'm sure we could have presented more but we actually wanted to order dinner as well.

- Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but when I went to the PB at Yonge and Dundas, the manager said I couldn't use my voucher because it looked like a photocopy...which it wasn't! said something about how some of the checkered lines are supposed to be darker than others.

  How hard is it to "like" something on FB? Why would someone photocopy? The manager is a dumb@ss. I've had the worst immaginable experiences at Yonge & Dundas Pickle Barrel! This is coming from someone who would eat there almost every week for 5 years..various locations, Downtown being the worst in service - both take out (horrible & wretched attitude from one lady who's been working there for years) and dine-in (measly attitude of staff when something goes wrong...and things have gone *terribly* wrong...). But I must say, recently, staff has been very nice at that locaton.. surprisngly, maybe the managers are taking note of general attitudes, but this most recent incident with the coupon surely puts a damper on everything.
  
  Canada has a long way to go in terms of hospitality and good restaurant service. Chains in the US will usually give stuff for free if they've made an error. Something as simple as nachos or whatever. I don't know why these places (most restaurants in Canada) still don't get it.

  Something about "inadequate pest control?!" Other locations don't seem to be affected (i.e. Eglinton location, which has better service compared to downtown).
  
  Love Pickle Barrel, that's why I go there so often and their food and variety brings me back, so that its why I grit my teeth and sometimes bear what I have to put up with sometimes.
