View allI put a heavy duty tarp on mine that I got from princess auto about a year ago. It only cost $50 (on sale) and seems to be holding up well.
As for the quality - I don't think it's worse than any other Chinese shelter on the market. We will see how it will hold up during the winter. I did use 4 extra anchors to secure it further
On that note, I ended up selling mine last week, I didn't even open it. I would need a double.
But if you opened the box 2-3 months after receiving it and it was defecting Walmart didn't do anything wrong. I think in these case people shouldn't start bashing stores but have common sense in contacting the company.
Last year I bought a snowblower cabin from Costco... Got it like a month after I ordered. Put it all up... I noticed that there was little holes/cracks everywhere in the plastic windows. Costco was out of stock (and never restocked) so I called the company and they sent me a new cabin (all parts included). If the manufacture couldn't help me I would have called costco. I know they have different return policy but I didn't call costco since I knew it wasn't their fault.
So really. If something was wrong when you were to put it up I think the first thing you should have done is call the manufacture. Then if that didn't work I would have called Walmart and explained that you called the manufacture and they cannot do anything and I'm 100% sure they would have taken it back.
If this one experience is ending your relationship with Walmart online then I guess that is too bad.
Manufacturer is shipping me a brand new main tarp and also said he is including extra pins missing in the package. I never knew I needed them.
Don't buy them when you can have them free of charge. Phone or e-mail and they're yours.
Also you obviously don't need 4x 25 pack of Clevis pins as I've ordered, 1 will do.

I actually like these car ports. I bought them at the beginning of the summer to take to music festivals and Burning Man and they served their purpose well. I had to make a couple wooden boxes to hold all the pieces so they could be transported, but they are really really heavy.
So do I and it has held up very well over the summer. And it is placed on uneven ground in the backwoods and still feels strong. If your cottage is in Ontario, you are right, it won't likely fare well. The weight of the snow will tear it to shreds, especially if you are not there in the winter to clear off the snow. I plan on taking the cover tarp off, leaving the frame up, and just bringing the cover inside the frame and laying it down over whatever is inside. That way, it will protect the crap I have inside, without the strain on the cover under the weight of the snow if it was still on the frame. The floor in my Muskoka Room was buckling last year when I went up in the winter, under the wight being placed on the roof by the several feet of snow on it. Took me hours to shovel it off. Could only imagine what that weight would do to this thing.
Awful instructions from what appears to be a Montreal based company. I have read Engrish instructions for a flux capacitor that I bought off Alibaba for my Delorean time machine that were clearer than this stupid thing. Granted, I put it up in a more challenging terrain than most would, but be prepared to spend an afternoon and bring a good deal of patience with you to figure out the mish-mash instruction booklet. 15 minutes my aunt fanny.
Thanks!
It still standing after Tuesday's crazy storm which is a plus.
Also note that it does not come with enough lock pin for the frame, I have to go buy extra in order to lock everything down.
