Quite possible but am not sure unless the 5% explicitly excludes tablets.

    • Best Price so far for iPad Mini 16GB.

      $329 -5% ($16.45) = $312.55
      + TAX = $353.18
      - $35 GC = $318.18 TOTAL

    • I'm beginning to hate Target and the giftcard promos! It seems that's all they offer on higher priced deals. I would much rather have a lower dollar discount and combine it with my 5% off debit card.

In some cases, the vendors like Apple don't like retailers to drop actual merchandise pricing. This is a way to get around that.

How do you like shopping at Target? I might apply for the debit card for my wife since 5% is a good enough savings.

    • Are you sure you can use the $35 gift card towards the purchase?

No, you can't. But it's easy to buy staples at Target worth just a tad over that $35. It's almost as liquid as cash.

TBO, I've only been in the store about 4 times, and only walked out with a couple of things. I'm hoping they do become a bit more competitive, but they do offer their price matching, plus I can then get another 5% off that with the card, so it's not too bad.

    • Was it not 290 last week at Staples? After $20 drop and 10% off?

That was a YMMV, lots of people were turned away on that deal. Plus $290+tax (Ontario) = $327.70. This equals $318.18 with GC and 5% off counted in.

    • Thanked OP but still prefer the Nexus 7 as I think one may get the best bang for the buck in terms of specs. Maybe not when it comes to app ecosystem but still. Looking forward to the Nexus 7 HD with an upgraded CPU and such.

That being said, too bad Target doesn't have the iPad for this promo as they only have the iPad 2 if I am not mistaken.

Not to mention the 5% cash back is only if you have the Debit or RBC Red card or whatever.

    • So sad, I missed the costco deal for the nexus last week. Was looking to buy it for mom

    • Just a warning about those that want to purchase the iPad with the discount card and then apply the charge to a credit card. You might not get the extended warranty with Visa or Mastercard since you're not really paying for it with the credit card, but instead, with the 'red card'.

You'd be best off just paying directly with the credit card, and forgoing the 5% discount.

    • I found there prices alright, rather buy on Amazon though. Does the 5% really make it worth it to buy from them? Anyone know if they plan on turning their website http://www.target.ca to an actual catalogue or online store?

    • Will have to check them out when they open "summer 2013". Store is a 5 minute walk from my house as was Zellers. They are working on the building every day now. Lot of hours going into it. Can get a lot done when money talks...
