    • Great deal on the zero gravity chairs. Going to probably grab a couple of those along with some grass seed for my lawn.

    • Not as good a deal for the dirt, even though it's a 50L bag.

I recall 28L bags of black earth going for 89¢ in the past for Rona - maybe that'll come next week.

Absolutely not the same kind of product.

This is pure garden soil, premium quality not black earth. At 2.39$ for 50L it's about the best deal you can get for great quality soil.

In any of your lawn experience, would this soil be a good option to place on dead patches, or to dump like 10 bags on an uneven grade?
My yard is a mix of almost everything but grass.

      Thanks

I got them last year from Rona at the cheap price, and thought they worked out great.

      Google is your friend:
      http://www.infobarrel.com/Zero_Gravity_Lawn_Chair

Without going into scientific details & having to use words like “fulcrum” – the jist is this:
      - On a normal lawn chair, you’d have to lean forward, pull the lever, lean back to apply some force to move the backrest, lock the lever in place, etc, etc.
      - vs. With a zero gravity chair, you can adjust your position simply by clenching your butt cheeks together.

      Good explanation.

You'll sweat like a pig in these chairs though, but nothing a good bucket of cold water cant fix.

Lawn soil would fit better, but this is definitely WAY better than black earth.

At this price it's a bargain.

What's the difference between this RONA stuff and the stuff HD had on for 99cents a bag last weekend? (Was the HD stuff inferior 'black earth'? The HD bags said it was 'all purpose gardening soil') thanks.

RONA's stuff is a rich mix of soil with humus and limestone, no filler. It's what people should put in their garden.

Most people are buying 0.99$ cheap dirt because it's cheap. It's basically dirt with filler (rocks, etc.). Does not contain any nutrients.

      No comparison.

RONA's been selling this soil for years. We'll probably have a cheap black dirt in a few weeks. They've been doing it for years.

We bought 10 of them during the same sale last year (also $30) and use them at our small resort. Many guests have gone home and bought their own, they liked them so much. This was the best price/quality combination we saw last year. If you leave them outside, though, they will rust where the keepers are welded to the frame. Nothing a bit of black enamel won't fix. The ones left under the deck overhangs did not rust, just the ones by our pool.

    • Bought the Gravity chair a couple of years ago for $50..it's holding up quite well. A word of caution - if you have little ones, be careful of the moving parts under the arm rest that could easily pinch a finger when they on it.

      Thanks OP.

      Anyone seen anything cheaper recently?

Yep, thats correct. Althought 18 inches of soil is pretty deep, you don't need more than 12 unless you want to grow long carrots. I'd also recommend replacing 6-8 of those bags with 3-4 blocks of peat moss to improve drainage and make the soil able to hold moisture better.

    • Sad to see that we are getting ripped off in Newfoundland for those Gravity Chairs. Our flyer shows the same regular price of $59.99 but the sale price here is $44.99. I even checked the RONA flyer online for Nova Scotia and over there the sale price is $29.99. It may cost a little extra to ship these things to Newfoundland but it doesn't cost an extra $15 each to do so. Thanks a lot RONA but no thanks!
