Would you say bottom, middle or top of the line. I tried using the comparison tool on the KitchenAid site but it does not do a very good job in comparison. TIA.

  This one is on the top end I believe (not claiming to be an expert on mixers, probably should look into some reviews)...but this price is one of the lowest I recall seeing for it, so it's a solid deal. Too bad this can't be combined with the Kitchenaid MIR currently running. I am guessing a PM at FS is also out since "while quantities last".

- You can't.. the rebate specifically prohibit you buy from Lowes.. if you do that better to do a price match.

- Thanks OP! Went first thing this morning to the Hamilton location. Got the last one. The lady there told me that they didn't receive their shipment from the vendor and that they were allowing people to order them. Also, when I went to the cash, it scanned in at $498, but they price adjusted.

  Actually both are 575 watts, the diffence is in the bowl size and a rubber grip on the lift handle of the 6 quart mixer.

  Lowe's has the pouring shield. It is an excellent price. Make sure you have a storage area dedicated to this appliance.
