    • If I remember correctly, all the colors online were available at the 'sauga location I went to. I know many people like the red and it was definitely there! I went for more power vs color

    • Trust me, the 400W is also on sale for $299 otherwise I wouldn't have bought one. The proof is the online link and my receipt.
      Yeh - the link does take you to the 400w version and the Model # is a 400W version - so all in all not a bad deal.

      Is Kitchenaid still offering rebates?

    • If you don't want the knife set, just get the stand mixer from Caynes for $249. IMO the mark-up is so ridiculously high on these KitchenAid stand mixers it makes a sensible deal like this one seem super hot. Call it the bridal registry effect.

      Nobody should ever pay more than $300 for a KitchenAid mixer unless it's the Professional 600.

      +1. We bought a KitchenAid Professional 350 watts 5 quarts from Cayne's 9 years ago for $279. It is the one with handle that moves the bowl up and down and not the one with hinged top section.

      It says the stuff has to be purchased from an authorized seller. I can't get kitchen stuff plus to show up on the "where to buy" on the kitchen aid page. Are they an authorized reseller? Can someone get them to show up on the kitchen aid page to prove it?

      I don't want to buy $130 knife set I dont really need and have to pay for it.

      Otherwise I'm tempted to pull the trigger

      Actually, you don't buy the knife set at all. You just buy the mixer, then you mail the form + copy of receipt to kitchenaid and they mail you the knife set. The worst that could happen is you don't get the knife set you never owned in the first place. So I'm hoping my request doesn't get screwed up and I get my set in 1 month +.

      I have a 350W and in 9 years I have never seen it overheats (normal household, non industrial kind of use). I guess it depends on the frequency and length of time it is used and how tough a batter you are using it with.

    • i just bought the 300w Ultra power from CdnTire (PM from FS). After my $23 back in Cdn Tire money my cost was $206 + taxes.

      Now I'm wondering if I should return and upgrade to this. It would be about $100 + tax difference but you get
      - slightly bigger bowl 5qt vs 4.5qt
      - 400w (or 350?) vs 300w
      - knife set
      - my choice of colour - I was stuck with white.

    • My friend got the Accolade last year (I think... maybe earlier this year) when Sears had a deal on it. I did a lot of research then and really preferred the Accolade over the Artisan. She's been happy with her purchase and has had no problems. Her only complaint is that she wished it had a larger bowl so she could make bigger batches of things.

      With the knife set, this is a pretty good deal. The knives aren't the greatest in the world, but hey... free knives.

The only thing I would have liked is to have the lowest setting actually spin a bit slower - that's just my preference. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase. Even without the knife set, I probably would have jumped on this deal.

    • costco has one on sale for $299.99 saw it at Ancaster store. Wasn't sure about the model, but it's a 5QT one... i bought one almost half a year ago with the same price... it's been working like a horse since.....
