View allI don't see the actual closet rods in the tool... Am I missing something?
EDIT: I do see the rods for sale online, guess they are available in the tool.
Those of you planning to buy these, how are you getting them home? Last time we had sofas we had them delivered...wondering if it's better to just rent a Uhaul or Home Depot truck,..
Still the major problem is that the pieces are heavy. Much more so than typical Ikea parts. That plus that fact that because we chose the tallest frames I couldn't assemble them on the ground and lift it up. Instead I have to do it the hard way with the sides panels standing vertically. Also the pieces are huge so they take quite a bit of space when assembling.
If anyone is looking for ways to make their PAX look more custom made, do a google search or go to www.ikeahackers.net. I've seen some pretty nice ones done up with moulding so it looks just like built ins for a fraction of the price.
After the 1st pax, second pax, you kinda get a hang of it. Still need the booklet, but most of the time, just confirming what's committed to memory.
By the time 3rd pax rolls around, it was done in 20 mins, one person, including moving the parts from ground floor to upstairs closet. Granted, there was no sliding doors/hinges. Just the shell.
In terms of color, i really love the dark brown. Feel like moving up the ladder from the g'old college white billy
I hate that they disconinuted the beech colour though. So I can't change my interiors to match the frame. >
