IKEA Bedroom Event: Get 15% Back in Gift Cards With Bed Frame Purchases, Ends May 27

IKEA Bedroom Event/Bed Frames
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

The latest IKEA gift-card offer is underway, and this time it's on bed frames. Purchase any $50+ bed frame during IKEA's Bedroom Event and you'll get 15% of the purchase price back in IKEA gift cards.

This offer does not apply to sofa beds, futons, cribs, previous purchases or As-Is items, but it is valid on children's beds, bunk beds, daybeds and headboards (nightstands, mattresses, and bed bases are sold separately). Gift cards are valid on future purchases only, and cannot be applied to your qualifying bed frame order.

You can view IKEA's bed frame selection here, though not all styles are available for online sale. You also have the option of not paying for 6 months when you purchase your bed frame on an IKEA credit card (instead of receiving gift cards back). The Bedroom Event ends May 27.

    • Mildly unrelated question... but does anyone know if this is sort of an annual thing around this time of the year, based on the past years?

Planning to move next year to my new condo so if it is around this time, it would be helpful.

Ikea often does gift-card offers like this, the last time I can find it on bed frames was August of 2011, but they've done it on mattresses, kitchens, wardrobes, and other items throughout the year. The bed frame one will probably show up again next year, but I guess there's no guarantee.

It looks like the GCs will be mailed out by CPC? The last BESTA cashback was instantly activated at the register, can anyone confirm this in QC and the rest of Canada?

    • Also if you are still within the return period you should still be able to get a price adjustment. I don't think you want to hurl everything back unless you really have to.
Agreed, just ask at customer service. Last time, I bought and returned due to a price drop, customer service told me they would have just done a price adjustment. If not, there is no need to haul everything back. Just buy another one and go straight to customer service and return it with the old receipt.

      Hail Mary...

I bought a bed frame, dresser, and night stands in January. It's gotta be too late to return or get a price adjustment. Can anyone confirm?

The slatted bed base is sold separately, unless you plan to use it with a box spring...

A queen SULTAN LUROY (layer-glued birch/plywood) would set you back $50, same price as the LADE (solid wood)

You usually get what you pay for but, my current bed frame is from Ikea and has lasted over 10 years. Usually, I base it on the warranty they supply. If they back their products with their 10, 15, 25 year warranties then I assume the higher price is justified as the product will last that long and if it doesn't I can at least run after someone about it. However, my cheapo $100-150 bed frame from 2001 is still hanging in there. Bed frames just don't seem to be something that break down in our family whether it be expensive or cheap we've never had issues. I guess it depends if you plan to use it as trampoline or not? Then I have no experience on whether it will last beyond 3-4 years =)

Keep in mind that if anyone has a mattress a warranty they don't want to void, make sure to place a sheet or use two is one is too big to go on top of the slate boards. Most mattress warranties will be voided if used directly on the slate boards and not on a full flat surface or box spring.

I just purchased a bed frame and find the quality has vastly improved over the last few years for the higher end models. For instance the drawers on my opal? are smooth and cushioned and the frame is solid as a rock. I have noticed they have introduced new metal joints too. Only thing is you have to build it very slowly and carefully.
