IKEA Bedroom Event: Get 15% Back in Gift Cards With Bed-Frame Purchase Until September 9

IKEA Bedroom Event
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

Cosy up to IKEA's Bedroom Event and earn 15% of your purchase price back in IKEA gift cards when you spend $50+ on any bed frame.

This offer does not apply to sofa beds, futons, cribs, cots previous purchases or As-Is items, but it is valid on children's beds, bunk beds, daybeds and headboards (nightstands, mattresses, and bed bases are sold separately). Gift cards are valid on future purchases only, and cannot be applied to your qualifying bed-frame order.

You can view IKEA's bed-frame selection here, though not all styles are available for online sale. You also have the option of not paying for 6 months when you purchase your bed frame on an IKEA credit card (instead of receiving gift cards back). The Bedroom Event ends September 9.

    • I know the fine print specifically says it doesn't apply on previous purchases, but has anyone had any success in the past with price adjustments (or gift cards in this case)?

I purchased a new bed frame last Wednesday and wouldn't mind getting 15% back.

    • I'm not against IKEA quality whatsoever - however, their bed frame has to be one of the worst out there.

I have a MALM frame and EVERY morning one of the slanted wood came off and need to be adjusted. Slight movement of the wood will cause it to fall off .. and if that fall off ... your mattress will fall too although not the whole thing ... but its kind of annoying.

      Never again

Maybe you didn't put it together properly? The wood slats are all connected; there should be no way for just one to come off. My ex had a Malm bed and we never had problems.

Malm frames aren't the only frames they have. They have frames that use box springs instead of slats.

    • Nice deal. If you're buying a bed and mattress/slats, buy the bed, then go back and use the 15% gift card on the mattress and slats.

    • This is great. I've been looking at the "Oppdal" bed frame for a while now. It's been listed at $299 for as long as I can remember.
Interesting ... when I look at the flyer online for this event it is now listed at $349 !!!

      SOME deal!

It's still $299... The $349 is including the wooden slacks which you don't technically need if using a box spring. We just bought it last week

What Keigotw said is the way to go. I sent the same info to a family member who just bought a bed frame from Ikea last week. Didn't think the bedroom event would come back so quickly. I think it was April/May when I bought mine?

    • OK CKWARMAN, thank you for the clarification. Did you go with the slats or are you using a boxspring? I would think that using a box spring would make the height of the bed pretty high.
How long did it take to set up the bed? Thanks again.

    • I use a low profile box spring and that combined with a deep mattress makes it pretty tall - I like a higher bed though
I'd say once I add on the pillows, they're just under the height of the headboard.

I've also noticed that the malm bed frame comes in a "high" version as well

Personal opinion, the slats are meant to provide additional support under the mattress, which is also supposed to add longevity to the mattress.
If you have a good mattress, use a bed frame

    • Thanks OP! Also, was told last night by a store manager that the Mattresses will be going on sale this weekend. Keep your receipts!

    • Does Ikea instantly give you the gift card once you buy the bed frame? I'm looking to furnish a room, but I'm also eyeing other furniture. It'd be great if I could just get the bed frame, then the card on the spot, load the frame into my vehicle, and then go back in to get more stuff.

I've never bought anything at Ikea under this promo, so I'm trying to plan out my purchases.

Yes Ikea gives you the gift card right after you checked out your items at register. At least that how I got mine.

I've had the Malm frame for around 6-7 years now, have never had the problem you speak of, perhaps your pieces of wood have become detached somehow? It should be all interconnected pieces, they have some wiggle room but there shouldn't be a way for them to fall off, why not order a replacement piece?
