    • Love their products but I could buy two or three Jenn-Air appliances for the price of 1 Miele.

Appliances. Not vacuums (you'll see I mention appliances).

      Sears, Goemans, Tasco.

Sometimes Sears outlet stores get them at amazing prices for returns/scratch-n-dent. Costco will get them once in a blue moon as well (sister bought a dishwasher from them few years back for around $1K).

not unless you return it to costco and buy a new one i would imagine.

it is a promo after all, same for any product costco carry and the manufacture suddenly puts it on sale or offers anything with it.

    • I bought a Miele this year. Love it! Yes, absolutely more expensive than stuff you'll find elsewhere but it's amazing just how wonderful this is! I think what I actually love most is just how quiet it is!

    • I'm tired of buying crappy Walmart "specials" that break or just don't work well after a short period of use. Recommend me a Miele. Futureshop has 2 different s2 models online, but I know nothing about this brand.

I have been patiently awaiting this promotion for months.

I popped by a place called "AAA Vacuum" off Wilson avenue in Toronto. Spoke to guy named Marco. He was quite helpful and I received the following quotes for S6 models.

      Contour $399 + HST
      Momentum $499 + HST
      Momentum Plus $569 + HST
      Continuum $699 + HST.

I'm leaning towards the Momentum Plus as it comes the fully powered electric power head for carpets and rugs. I expressed my interest for the newer parquet tool that swivels and maneuvers easier. He said I could pick any swivel tool regardless of which model. Anyhow, if anyone has any other stores or prices worth mentioning, please do so.

With sale promotion, Costco will adjust the price but with extended warranty period, I don't think Costco can do anything with it. I probably will buy a new one and return it unopened with the old reciept. I will then try to register again with the new receipt.

I'm also looking for the momentum plus.
I called the ApplianceVacuumWarehouse last month and they said $599 plus 2 years supply of filters.
They advertise $100 off but its still $599 like everybody else.

    • I ordered an S5 ( full size model ) in February, I'm very pleased with it.
I researched and ended up getting it online from Mchardy Vacuum . The shipping was fast and free.
Futureshop and Sears sell the lesser models, you have to go to a vacuum shop to get the higher end ones.
I believe mine came with a 7 year warranty.

if you have already taken delivery, then no.

if you haven't, call Miele and ask.

I wouldn't recommend it. Every vacuum's sn is registered in miele's database, they know where you bought it from and Costco reports when you bought it. If you return the new one you might have issues when you claim your warranty. Also Costco sends all returns back to miele and miele treats all returns as open box items. It's the standard procedure, your good intention will probably do no one good and only give yourself trouble.

Just return the old one and keep the new one.

    • +1 for Miele vacuums

I have an S5 I picked up from MTC here in Whitby and couldn't be happier. The powerhead game me a bit of trouble because a wad of hair somehow managed to get into the drive belt gear and made a grinding noise. A local repair guy fixed it for $10. Otherwise I am totally impressed with the amount of noise it makes, it's suction power and how the powehead fluffs up the nap of the carpet.

The only negative is the cost of the bags. I go through a bag every month and a half or so. A couple of local vacuum shops sell generic replacements for 1/2 the price but I am wary of picking them up.
