When is the last time you saw a Jenn Air vacuum?
Thnx
Sometimes Sears outlet stores get them at amazing prices for returns/scratch-n-dent. Costco will get them once in a blue moon as well (sister bought a dishwasher from them few years back for around $1K).
it is a promo after all, same for any product costco carry and the manufacture suddenly puts it on sale or offers anything with it.
I popped by a place called "AAA Vacuum" off Wilson avenue in Toronto. Spoke to guy named Marco. He was quite helpful and I received the following quotes for S6 models.
Contour $399 + HST
Momentum $499 + HST
Momentum Plus $569 + HST
Continuum $699 + HST.
I'm leaning towards the Momentum Plus as it comes the fully powered electric power head for carpets and rugs. I expressed my interest for the newer parquet tool that swivels and maneuvers easier. He said I could pick any swivel tool regardless of which model. Anyhow, if anyone has any other stores or prices worth mentioning, please do so.
I called the ApplianceVacuumWarehouse last month and they said $599 plus 2 years supply of filters.
They advertise $100 off but its still $599 like everybody else.
I researched and ended up getting it online from Mchardy Vacuum . The shipping was fast and free.
Futureshop and Sears sell the lesser models, you have to go to a vacuum shop to get the higher end ones.
I believe mine came with a 7 year warranty.
if you haven't, call Miele and ask.
Just return the old one and keep the new one.
I have an S5 I picked up from MTC here in Whitby and couldn't be happier. The powerhead game me a bit of trouble because a wad of hair somehow managed to get into the drive belt gear and made a grinding noise. A local repair guy fixed it for $10. Otherwise I am totally impressed with the amount of noise it makes, it's suction power and how the powehead fluffs up the nap of the carpet.
The only negative is the cost of the bags. I go through a bag every month and a half or so. A couple of local vacuum shops sell generic replacements for 1/2 the price but I am wary of picking them up.
